SURE, BUT YOU COULD ALSO FALL IN LOVE WITH A MAGAZINE....

ONLINE LOVE IS NOT REAL. PEOPLE REINVENT THEMSELVES AND SHOW YOU ONLY WHAT THEY WANT YOU TO SEE. YOUR IMAGINATION (BASED ON WHAT YOU WANT THEM TO BE) FILLS IN THE REST FOR YOU.

SURE, IT'S A NICE WAY TO SET UP MEETINGS, BUT DO NOT BECOME EMOTIONALLY INVESTED UNTIL YOU HAVE MET AND SPENT TIME WITH THEM IN LOTS OF DIFFERENT SITUATIONS. TO KNOW IF SOMEONE IS TRUSTWORTHY, YOU HAVE TO HAVE A CHANCE TO SEE IF THEIR BEHAVIOR MATCHES WHAT THEY SAY. BODY LANGUAGE HELPS, SINCE 80% OF COMMUNICATION IS NON-VERBAL.

KEEP THINGS FRIENDLY AND CHATTY, BUT DO NOT GET TOO INVOLVED. AND DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING SOMEONE TELLS YOU ABOUT THEMSELF. THEY SHOULD LET YOU DECIDE ON YOUR OWN.

Yep, it's no different than meeting a person at a bar. Well... except for you are not really sure of what they look like until you meet them. But other than that... you're still getting to know them! I know of some couples that have met online and they make good matches. Just be careful. Not everyone out there is out there for the same reasons you are.

I think that people can become very good aquaintances on line but do not believe that people can actually fall in love on line. I did meet my fiance on line and we chatted honestly for a long time before she would give me her number and name. When we finally did meet it was wonderful. But like yourself probably I have heard and had a couple of bad experiences with on line hook ups. It is so interpersonal and anyone can be anything they want to be. My fiance and I live about 2.5 hours from each other and only see one and other on weekends. So perhaps you and your new potential mate can meet and truly get to know each other and look each other in the eyes and communicate with each other live. Then my friend you may very well fall in love.

I do. I met my boyfriend online, he's only an hour and a half away though. But I was in love with him before I met him face to face.

you see everyday where people have meet on line and end up getting married, but hey be careful for allot of not so good people, but I think love is where ever you find it,where it may be church, through friends, grocery shopping, the movies, skating ring, even on line,if you go through one of the proper channels where you know the persons profile and you dont have any hidden surprises! good luck who knows one on the other side of the world may be a perfect match for you.
