You can appear to lose a lot of weight (maybe as much as 5 - 10 lbs) in one day if you get badly dehydrated. However, that is not real weight loss. If you use 3500 calories in one day through activity and exercise, and don't take any calories in, you will lose only one pound, regardless of what the scale says.

The SAFE limit is only 0.5 to 1 kg a week!! but if you're sick or starving yourself you would lose a whole lot more especially in a day.
