Okay, see I have this friend, that I just met, and I really like him, but I am not sure if he likes me. I am a tomboy, and I dress like a boy, and I don't know if he will be like drawn away from it. He is the only person that I know in the school, since I am new to the school, but I only met him a couple of days ago, and I sit in front of him in one of my classes. Any suggestions to get his attention, or to find out if he likes me.
I am in 10th grade.

If you're comfortable with yourself, just be yourself. But you are showing concern about how you dress. When I was in tenth grade, I actually looked like a boy, nevermind dressed liked one. I changed my look and i'm definatly improved myself for all the right reasons. I still have tomboy qualities but it's balanced with my girly side... I still am the person I always was, and I didn't really change, I just improved myself and became a new me.
If you feel this tomboy thing may be a problem, and you feel that you would be comfortable improving yourself, without a doubt do so. But don't do it for him, ONLY because you want to.
I say become closer friends within the next week or so, and then ask him what he thinks about you. If he doesn't see you for who you are and that you two could be good together, nevermind him. Just stay friends.
Goodluck! AND just remember, you're in highschool, so if things don't work out, there is a lifetime ahead of you. Don't be someone you're not!

You're all forgetting one simple fact. Boys are just men before puberty! DO NOT chase him around like a puppy dog! If you take a look around you, you'll probably notice that the most popular girls are the ones that make the guys chase THEM!
It's like a game & the sooner you learn to play it, the happier you'll be, because it stays that way right through adulthood. You're going through maybe the most confusing time in your life right NOW!
Your likes, dislikes, mind, & body are all changing as you go through your mid to late teens. That's why so many things that never used to matter to you, are starting to matter more & more.
I agree with almost everything everybody else has said, except DON'T chase after him. Be nice, smile when you see him but play it cool. Let him come chasing after you!

I think to get his attention you should start dressing like a girl. I have a friend that used to be the same and as soon as she started dressing like a girl she got the hottest guy and is now married to him! She cant believe she used to dress like a boy now...she regrets it so much! Go on and give it a try! The change will do u good and you mite get your guy then!! :) good luck!

I was in the same situation a couple months ago, so do me a favor and make sure that he is STRAIGHT!! I sounds awful, but it really did happen to me and it hurt so much.. Hope it doesn't happen to you!! Good luck!!

Walk right up and introduce yourself. Be nice, and sincere, and always be honest. Its easier to just be your self, little fibs, or being a phony is very, very hard to cover or take back.

Talk to him! And smile lots when talking. That always helps!
If he isn't showing interest, don't push it. Just take it slow. Maybe start again some other time.

you can flash him a smile and see if he smiles back, or just say hi and wait for a positive response, or a nod at least. =)

you could wear more stylish clothes that excentuate yur body and he'll put the moves on you in no time
