Because if a farmer could get someone to pick tomatos for $1 hour hes going to and we cant do nothing about it.. If a Builder hires an Illegal to roof a house for $800 instead of $3000 he going to and theres nothing we can do about it..and it sucks and if the illegals was deported then the citizens of the united states wouldnt have to compete with these low wages.THE PEOPLE WHO SAY THAT THE ILLEGALS DONT TAKE AMERICAN JOBS ARE IDIOTS,,,WHY DO YOU THINK THEY ARE HERE..

And yes I would pick veggie for a desent wage i would do what ever it took to take care of my family..

OK, in a nutshell.
For an American to emmigrate to another country, we would have to prove an income to sustain us during our stay. In otherwords, If I wanted to move to another country permanately, I would have to prove that I have a job, or if i wanted to retire in another country, i would have to prove that I have an income to live on.
For someone to immigrate here, they don't have to prove anything. There are no checks, people come here on temporary visa, then disappear into the landscape. These are the illegals who take our jobs.
And, I don't know of any job that an American won't do. Americans do some damn disgusting, tiresome jobs everyday. Tiresome, disgusting jobs are what built this country. It has only been in the last thirty years that some people have developed the attitude that they are superior and shouldn't have to do the nasty jobs. Those are the weak people, the ones who claim that illegals do the jobs that Americans won't do. Illegals do the jobs that the weak Americans won't do. A strong American will do whatever it takes to pay the bills and feed the family. In that sense, immigrants are better Americans than some Americans are.

And for the clown above, who said that white workers can't out work a mexican if full of himself. You have never hired me. You only make your statement because for the price of five white Americans, you can hire ten Illegal Mexicans. You can turn over the projects in less time, and you make more money. Do you pay your illegals more money because they turn over more projects quicker? I doubt it. You sir are the biggest part of the problem and I can't wait until the government starts cracking down on you slave owners. Slavery died a hundred fifty years ago!

It is not about foreigners or immigrants taking American Jobs. It is about people coming in and taking jobs at lower wages and that is what people get upset about. At least that's what I think. That is also why companies take the jobs off shore, so they can find people who will work for less money. I think if foreigners and immigrants would come in and demand the same wages as the rest then that would not upset people so much, because then the job market would be more competitive. Just my opinion and we all know about opinions.

Illegal aliens are NOT doing work Americans won't do. What jobs won't Americans do? In most states, Americans still clean their own houses, do their own landscaping, clean hotel rooms, work in restaurants and fast food places, paint houses, DO CONSTRUCTION WORK, work in airports, etc. - just like we have the past 200 years before "our" government allowed these people to invade our country. There are 18 million Americans who cannot find a job, so illegal aliens who are coming here to work do so at peril to American workers. In fact, a meat-packing job paid $19 an hour in 1980, but today that same job pays closer to $9 an hour, according to the Labor Department. they depress wages for U.S. workers by as much as $200 billion a year in addition to placing a tremendous burden on hospitals, schools and other social services.



. Consumers are NOT benefiting from lower labor costs. Again, it's CEOs and business owners who benefit from taxpayer subsidies for their illegal alien workers. The Big Three automakers say they moved so many jobs to Mexico because their labor costs are 80 percent less than in America. Anybody notice the price of new cars spiraling downward under NAFTA

I agree with you Perfect American. Americans did and still do these types of jobs. My father and brother are landscapers and my husband is now getting ready to start up a painting business. Their argument that they take jobs americans dont want is pure bullshit. My father who is 68 works so hard and doesnt stop. He could outrun these so called "hard working mexicans" at his current age. My father doesnt stop working, he is always finding something to do and when he is out doing landscaping he is like a madman working so hard, you should see him. The same goes for my brother and husband, they are hard workers as well. All this talk that mexicans work harder is a lie because they havent met my family. These men on here saying that they do jobs americans wont do are weak and lazy. They work in an office all day behind a desk but to me for a guy to work in an office it shows me that he is a sissy and not a real man because he is doing women work. A real American man like my father and brother who are Italian American, and husband who is American does honest hard work for a living. That is what a real american man should do. Now a real lazy american man is one that works in his office sitting behind a desk doing women work because he doesnt want to get his hands dirty to do real work.

Not so much "foreigners and immigrants", but ILLEGALS of any race!!!! And it's because they will work for LESS pay, and WITHOUT benefits!!!!! But, if they get sick or hurt, they use our hospitals and do NOT pay their bills, which then gets passed on to the taxpayers!!! They make less money, so they qualify for food stamps, AFDC,WIC, free lunches, subsidized housing,etc,which is ALL paid for by our tax money!!!

illegal immigrants have been known to 'undercut' and take jobs away from Americans
like a contractor can hire citizens and have to pay them a decent wage and carry insurance...they can pay an illegal immigrant a lot less and carry no insurance and then the citizen is out of a job.

there is also a big problem with immigrants sending money out of the country and it is hurting our economy

we realize that these people are trying to take care of their families....but so are we and we can do it legally if its not taken away from us!
