I'll have to reiterate what others have said in answer to your question. Pop
will ruin your health by making your body very acidic. Since the pH of a 12 oz. soda drink is 2.0, it will take about 32 glasses of water to neutralize all the acid you just welcomed into your body. Additionally, drinking pop stimulates fluid loss and promote dehydration. As you probably already know, dehydration is the primary reason for daytime fatigue and slows down your metabolism as much as 3%. Just a 1% - 2% drop in body water can impair your mental focus, concentration, and physical performance. So, in order to hydrate a highly acidic body, drink eight glasses of water. However, the best way to drink water is to mix 24 ozs. of purified water with a natural and organic alkalizer which restores the major electrolytes (minerals) so critically needed by your body. Additionally, disease and illness thrive in an acidic body but cannot survive in an alkaline environment. A one point drop on the pH scale means "10 times more acidity". That means drinking soda with a pH reading of "2" is 100,000 times more acidic than water with Xtreme X2O with a pH reading of 9.9.
"Alkalinity" equals oxygen and oxygen equals good health.
If you would like to know your pH, let me know. For more info, check this site:

Since I started drinking root beer on a daily basis as opposed to hardly ever, I have gained 5 pounds. I started doing this about 3 months ago so now I've slowed down on the pop. Pop is never good for you so try to find something else to drink. Water is always best though.

Makes you fat, rots your teeth and your stomach. But if you drink pop, do not drink diet crap, its full of apartame which is known to contribute to brain diseases. Rather have the bit of sugar and drink it in moderation.

Sodas, especially colas with phosphoric acid, can cause your body to leech calcium from your teeth and bones. If the resultant compound (calcium phosphate) isn't flushed from your kidneys you can get kidney stones.

It actually was responsible for the death of a friend of mine.
He was drinking some Diet Coke and someone gave him some
"candy"...unfortunately, the candy turned out to be "Mentos" and
his stomach exploded causing him to die a very painful death.
