Sometimes it's minor things, sometimes a bit more important. Sometimes it lasts only a couple days, other times up to about two weeks. Doesn't matter who caused the rage...friends, family, etc. Regardless, it's certainly irrational.

It sounds like you might have difficulty determining how you really feel. Anger may be a cover for expressing the REAL feeling.

If you fear that someone may get hurt or it might get worse and effect your functioning (more than it probably already has), talk to someone about it. Sometimes realization is all it takes. Other times, it intensifies and folks need to hit a big brick wall before anything changes. In those instances, some damage has been done.

Good for you for realizing there may be a problem. Most just wait until the hindsight of something terrible kicks them in the butt. Don't let yourself suffer with this. Talk to a professional and start living again man!!

There is are a lot of things that can cause abnormal rage. The most dangerous are physiological. Extremely high blood pressure, Alzheimer's and a litany of other disease. Psychological cause could also be a factor. The person you are inquiring for should seek professional help as soon as possible if not sooner.

It really irks me how people avoid the sometimes obvious answer to this question. It isn't the answer in every case, but it certainly can be--diet. It may not be mental at all, in other words. Look up "reactive hypoglycemia" and look at the person's diet.

A person can go totally nuts due to dietary issues and people will bash them for bad behavior. It is so very sad.

Unresolved issues build up and make it very hard for the person to deal with later issues. If the cycle is not interrupted with resolution of said "old issues" then every new one to come along is stressing an already overstressed psyche by layering over the old. Also it could just be PMS. Sounds alot like anger and hostility issues.

Sounds like a manic depressive behaviour,(bi-polar)
the person should see a doctor soon, because no one, including the sick one, should keep on suffering because of that behaviour.
