Any diet on which you eat fewer calories than you need to get through the day without feeling like you're going to keel over - like an 800-calorie-per-day diet, for instance - is dangerous. Diets that don't allow any fat can also be bad for you. You should have a certain amount of fat in your diet, up to 30% of your total calories. Although a low-fat diet may be OK, don't eat a diet completely free of fat.

So How Can I Lose Weight Safely?
The word diet usually means restricting calories or certain food groups.
But eating healthy meals and snacks combined with reasonable amounts of exercise may help you lose weight and develop properly at the same time. And guess what - , just being more active might help you lose weight without even changing what you eat. Even if you don't lose weight, regular exercise will make you healthier and you will feel better about yourself. So get moving - whether you're involved in sports or you just take a walk or a bike ride several days a week, exercise really helps.

I am not a doctor but I do know that when my blood sugar gets low I get a headache. The objective is to eat a variety of slow digesting high nutrition low calorie foods to avoid this such as vegetables fruits etc. I recently met a very beautiful younger woman at the consulate in Ciudad Juarez waiting for her husbands visa process down there. She said the lawyer said for her to loose weight she had gained during a bad pregnancy then weight gain from the subsequent miscarriage she experienced so that when they meet her they believe he is married for love not for papers. So she said she did not do anything special except that she went on a completely fruit and vegetable diet until she got down to the weight she desired. She is a living doll. She also said she did moderate exercise to help tighten up her skin when she lost weight. She had gotten very heavy set from the depression that followed the miscarriage which may have happened in part because she had gained so much weight. I hope this helps you. Many people do very well on the Atkins diet also which emphasizes vegetables in the diet and protien with lower or decreased or absent simple carbohydrates like sugar and sweets.

I don't know what kind of diet you're on, but maybe you aren't eating enough? This will sure cause headaches. Either you aren't eating enough, or it's something you're eating! But it sounds like because of your emotional state you're not getting enough food. Take a break and try to figure out another diet, or better yet learn to eat healthy.
"Delicious Decisions" is a great online cookbook put out by the American Heart Association, the recipes are healthy and good. I cook them and we have them for lunches too. It's a healthy good way to eat.
