it is written that the ONLY mediator between mankind and God is Jesus, so I agree with you we shouldn't pray to Marry. If we were have to it would be instructed for us to in the Holy Bible.
God Bless!!!!

Passes the time I guess. Man were they ever freaky about that when I was a Catholic! I think a lot of the bead jiggling and mumbles came from Celtic Catholicism, our ancient ways just got folded into this Jesus based religion. Mary was the new name of some older Goddess, perhaps it was Brigit; I'm not sure; it's been so long gone by now. Any way, according to the new deal; Mary is in Heaven. If She was still on this planet She'd have been waiting two thousand years, so we can probably skip over that one. I hope this helps you out, keep in mind the history of my people was not to be written down; just passed on by wordsmiths. Every teller would add their little detail till after a thousand generations gone by the stories come alive themselves. Who ever Mary is in the scheme of believing or not She's got the big time Mo Jo as far as I'm concerned any way you slice the pie. Mother of Jesus gets my respect right there. Possible alias for Goddess ( Brigit, is that right? ) I'm of Irish decent; I know how to hedge a bet my Boyo; and simply by all accounts She sounded like a class act, a real nice Woman; She should be honoured; for all women. For myself prayer is a little less definitive than perhaps more structured or rote patterns of speech. I think that a good thought for another is a form of prayer. A smile as the same. Makes sense to me. So perhaps it's more of a pray for Mary, for all the Mary's; just our little way of saying thanks; you've made a huge difference in the way we do live as to how it was before. Take care and all good things to you doorstep.

Of all the Saints who have ever lived or will live, Mary is the Holiest of them all because Mary is the Mother Of Jesus. Jesus Is God, & God, it was He Himself Who Commanded "Honour thy father & thy mother." Therefore, He Himself Is Obliged To Honour His Mother's requests.

We Catholics ask all the Saints in Heaven to pray on all our behalves. However, of all the Saints, Mary's prayers are the most Powerful with Jesus, because she is His Mother, & He Will Never Refuse those who honour His Mother as their own Mother(St. John chapter 19, verses 26-27).

Satan the all the devils in Hell hate Mary greatly, because she has such a Powerful Influence on Christ's Mercy Towards sinners.

Catholics share the belief in the Communion of Saints with many other Christians, including the Eastern Orthodox, Anglican, and Episcopal Churches.

The Communion of Saints is the belief where all saints are intimately related in the Body of Christ, a family. When you die and go to heaven, you do not leave this family.

Everyone in heaven or on their way to heaven are saints, you, me, my deceased grandmother, Mary the mother of Jesus, and Mother Teresa.

As part of this family, you may ask your family and friends here on earth to pray for you. Or, you may also ask the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Andrew, or your deceased grandmother in heaven to pray for you.

With love and prayers in Christ.

Roman Catholics believe Mary was the first Immaculate Conception. She was born without the stain of Original Sin so that she would be pure enough for God's son. Her birth is a miracle in their eyes. They pray to her because she is seen as a Perfect Human. They pray to Jesus because He is God.

There is nothing in the Bible that says to pray to Mary or any other person besides GOD and JESUS! The entire Catholic religion is decieved and corrupt. They need to read the BIBLE for once and get it right.

Good question...there's nothing in the Bible that would command us to. Catholics are lead to believe that Mary can "intercede" on a person's behalf. It's idol worship, you know, like the statues of Mary in the bathtubs in people's yards...it is contrary to the teachings of the Bible, which is a sin. Mary's probably hanging out in purgatory so that she can better intercede.

Why dont you do what Jesus GOD himself told you to do over and over again.
MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS AND WORK ON YOUR SOUL.
Do you think that when you get to heaven there going to ask you about what others did or do you think there gonna want to know about what you did OR didnt do. Respect your neighbor

In heaven God said, "One day I will send my Son to help all people and show them how to live. And I choose Mary to be the mother of Jesus, my Son. So God sent his angel Gabriel to Mary and the angel said:

Hail Mary,

The angel Gabriel visited Mary in Nazareth, in Galilee. The angel said to Mary that God loved her. She was

full of grace,
The angel Gabriel told Mary that God, who was in heaven so far away, had come to be close to her. She was to be the mother of Jesus. The angel said,

the Lord is with you
After the angel left her, Mary went to visit her cousin Elizabeth. her cousin knew how good God was to Mary. Elizabeth said,

Blessed are you among women
Mary's cousin Elizabeth knew that Mary was going to be the Mother of Jesus Christ. Elizabeth said,

and blessed is
the fruit of your womb, Jesus
We pray to Mary because she is so close to God, and because she is so close to her Son, Jesus Christ. And so we say,

Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners
Like a good mother, Mary always hears us when we call to her. She hears us now, at this very moment; and when we come to the last moment of our life. And so we pray,

Now and at the hour
of our death. Amen.

This is my authority for believing it is wrong to pray to any other being other than God...
1Tim.2:5
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
