i want to convert MKV.file to AVI.file or realmedia....what are the programs to convert? and how to use it???

Mcfunsoft is a program that converts video files. I don't know if it converts MKV files but it's worth a try as it's free to download.

Videohelp.com has a ton of tutorials for video conversion. They'll explain it much clearer than I can.

You can get an mkv editor at http://sourceforge.net/projects/virtualdubmod/ and that may provide what you need.
