Your question asks way too much of any one person. While you have received some basic info on some of the styles and systems here from another, the only way in which you will be able to truly answer this question is to do some research on your own.

As for Bruce Lee, he is as dead as Elvis and there is no great mystery to it any longer. Several books and articles have been published by those closest to him and the answers are there, though some questions regarding the circumstances still remain for some. The simple truth is that Bruce Lee most likely suffered an allergic reaction to a medication that he took. What the autopsy showed was that he died from a swelling of the brain. While it has not been conclusively shown that the medication he took that night for a headache was solely responsible, it is the most likely and logical conclusion.

Bruce Lee did not die from:
Ancient masters killing him for revealing too much
Rival teachers who hated him
The Chines Mafia
or any other ridiculous myth

And Bruce Lee IS dead.

I am not familiar with all the martial arts in the world, and I think someone even said it is practically impossible. Perhaps he is right, perhaps he isn't. But to me you are practically asking "Tell me all the species of plants and their differences in a detailed manner", which again is very demanding and probably unsolvable (due to the fact that there are many hidden arts).
On a personal note, I practice Kung fu (Gong fu if you may) and I find it to be the best of them all.
You may probably say I am biased, given that I haven't practised any other martial art with the same depth, but trust me when I say I have seen a little bit of a lot of m. arts and what I have seen does not impress me. The recklessness of some m.arts does shock me though as I see, only but violence in its depth. The thing about Kung fu is that there is much more than kicks and punches in it. Besides being the mother martial art of them all (or most), there is much to learn about oneself. Beyond every move there is a reason other than kicking someone's behind. It is deep, deeper than many and perhaps all other martial arts.

ok first the controversy-i don't think bruce lee is dead-he upset a lot of the chinese elders because he was teaching the "gwailo"-or white man (even though these chinese elders where living in america at the time-but thats another matter)-i beleive he secreted (or was secreted) back to a chinese commune where he remains to this day-the man was incredibly fit-i simply cannot beleive he died in the way he did-something is amiss here-and i am not the only one who thinks this!!. on the subject or martial arts-there are very few martial arts in the truest sense of the word. the majority of the arts we see today are classed as "fighting arts"-they only become (or are termed ) martial arts when they are accepted by a countrys military as part of its training curriculum-martial arts of today include-taekwondo (taught to conscripts in the korean armed forces)-jiujitsu (taught in the us british and japanese armies)-certain styles of karate-(taught in the japanese armed forces) western boxing- (taught in the british army). most japanese swordfighting is also a true martial art ([probably the original martial art).

Hapkido-Hapkido is a Korean fighting system. Hapkido means "way of harmony," and it includes striking and grappling techniques.
Hwa Rang Do-Hwa Rang Do is a modern Korean fighting system developed from Japanee and Korean roots. It has a wide syllabus and includes punches, kicks, strikes, locks, holds, throws, and weapons work.

Kendo-Kendo means "the way of the sword." It is a form of Japanese swordfighting that began more than 650 years ago.
Kobudo-Kobudo means "old martial way." It makes use of converted agricultural tools from the island of Okinawa near Japan.
Kobujutsu-Kobujutsu originated on the island of Okinawa, between Japan and China. Police there have traditionally used armed techniques to arrest criminals.
Kung Fu-Kung Fu is Chinese for "well doone," although today the term is used to describe the Chinese martial arts. There are several hundred forms of Kung Fu.
Shaolin Monks-The Shaolin Monks are the most famous fighting men in the martial arts world. Over the centuries, many legends have grown up about their heroic exploits.
Sumo Wrestling-Sumo Wrestling is an ancient Japanese form of combat between men of great size and strength that shares some of its origins with Jujitsu.
Tae Kwon Do-Tae Kwon Do means "the way of the foot and fistt." It is a modern Korean fighting system similar to Japanese Karate.
T'ai Chi-The Chinese martial art of T'ai Chi, which means "great ultimate fist," is now popular all over the world. T'ai Chi movements are relaxed and fluid and they are designed to promote health.

Thai Boxing-Thai Boxing, also known as Muay Thai, is similar to Western Boxing, except that kicks, knee strikes, and elbow strikes are all allowed.
Wu Shu-Wu Shu is Chinese for "martial art." It is a competitive sport in which spears, swords, and unarmed combat take the form of dancelike movements.

Bruce Lee was murdered by rival martial artists who didn't like him teaching martial arts to non-Asians.
