sounds like you've down loaded something from Lime wire. Limewire can be tweaked to not cause this kind of problem, and allow no one to download any files from your computer just click O... in shared files in the main menu. But you need to delete anything you have downloaded already from there just in case , and start over.. watch you file size a 3 minute song isn't 5000 mg download...some thing wrong there , you don't want, and make sure it has at least 128 to about 190 bit rate. If there is no bit rate listed don't touch it. Watch what you are downloading there are alot of nastys out there. I use pro and still watch what I accept to download. It is best to download all music to a temp limewire file on the desk top, that way you can scan all downloads before actually putting them into your system. It is also a good idea to go to your firewall application list and grant Limewire incoming access only.

Try to scan your computer from viruses because maybe Limewire cause some spyware or virus, if this not work i'm sorry to say you need a new windows, and about limewire it's not a bad program, this program not bad only if you know how to use it, just don't download files less than 1 MB in size and be carful with other compressed files.

Good luck and hope this helps.

Try uninstalling Limewire and see if there is a difference. Also, download and run a spyware checker. Update virus definitions and do a full scan.

Sounds like you may be infected with a virus or nasty malware of some sort. Probably something associated with your downloads from limewire. First go to http://www.mozilla.com and download the firefox browser so that you have a clean browser to try to fix your problems.

Then using the firefox browser go out and download...

Spybot http://www.spybot.com
Ccleaner http://www.ccleaner.com
Adaware http://www.lavasoft.us

Also do and online virus scan at http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
