3. He's a Reorganized LDS. Even if I allow Mormons, reorganizing that religion is just weird.

I think two things about this story are sad:
One is that we still have the death penalty.
And two that there are religioius wackos who commit such atrocities in the name of their God.

No. Not at all. This guy was convicted of killing a whole family. God does not contradict Himself nor does His word. Kiling is Killing and Killing is wrong. Whether that killing is an unborn baby or an entire family!
