I eat one egg everyday with my breakfast. Sometimes fried, sometimes omelet. Is this actually risky? I am 21 yr guy, 5'10" with a weight of 145 lbs.
Another Q, which is better to have:
1. Fried egg
2. Hard boiled
3. Omelet
Helpful infos will be greatly appreaciated.

It would all depend on how much HdL cholesterol your body produces. You will need to have a cholesterol test by your doctor to determine your cholesterol level of HdL. It's a simple and relatively cheap test. Otherwise, you could eat a pound of bacon a day and still not be affected (given you have a labor intestive work day to counter act the caloric intake). If you fry your egg, use spray olive oil, you can't taste the difference and the oil is non-hydrogenated (infused with hydrogen to prevent spoilage). You can eat boiled eggs, but then most people super salt them in order to get them down...that's not any better for you. Omelets are very tasty, again, use the spray olive oil to prevent stickage.

One egg a day is not bad. You could probably do two a day. If you like a good "portable" protein, then go with hard boiled egg. That is the healthiest of all three choices.
Second would be an omelet. But only if you are cautious about how you prepare it, ie., spray the pan with Pam, or use a non-stick skillet. You can add a good quality shredded cheese (American cheese is the worst for you) and fresh veggies, too. The other good thing about an omelet? You can up the protein content by using more eggs, and discarding some of the yolks.
Fried eggs are not bad either, but only if you fry them the same way I recommended for an omelet.
You didn't mention any workout program. If you do workout, then I would be sure to consume at least two eggs a day. It is a great way to supplement your diet with a good quality protein.

No it is not harmful, it is a very good nutricious food choice for breakfast! Though it's hardly a high (low?? whichever's the "good" one) G.I. index choice and will whizz out of your stomach and make you hungry again before long unless you have e.g. some heavy wholemeal bread toast with it.
if its from sources not guaranteed free of salmonella or other bacterial nasties it might be harmful to you...
out of those three, the boiled egg is by far and away the healthiest choice, followed (probably) by the omelete, depending on how it's made. if there's a lot of grease in the omelete, the fried egg is more likely in second place instead, so long as you dont have a load of bacon or sausage with it.
(basically, for all but the boiled one, it depends on preparation and serving)
have you tried scrambling it instead?

You sound pretty healthy. Eggs are good they have heaps of nutrition and believe it or not cholesterol isn't bad for you you actually need it to live.
If you are exceeding more than a few a day you might want to talk to your doctor everyone is different either way is the same unless you add things like a spray olive oil in the pan is better than a cup of cheese cooked in butter with half a cup of ketchup. Just be reasonable.

Hard boiled eggs are supposed to be healthier, (no added fat), but I eat eggs 4 times a week, fried usually. I'm 39 and my doc says I'm doing great!

I think anyone is okay. If you fry the egg, though, you should use olive oil. I just read an article last week that said if your cholesterol is normal, an egg a day is fine.

Yes, eating eggs every day is bad! The best part of the egg, the yellow part, is pure cholesterol. Limit your egg intake to once a week, you re pumping it in daily the way you're eating it now.
If you really like eggs you might want to try "eggbeaters". They're the imitation eggs, they can be scrambled, but not fried or any other way. We cook with them, bake with them and everything. I hope you aren't eating any bacon or sausage? lol These are just as bad! Hope this helps........

Yes. Just once or twice a week (fried). It's high in salt. It can trigger a heart attack even if you think you're healthy. For guys especially. My relative had a friend who had a heart attack after eating 30 pcs. of quail eggs (small ones). i know, why would he even eat that much of q. eggs.
