A friend of mine works at Lockheed Martin (?) and is on a project to develop biometric scanning technology for use in airports. Eventually, passengers will be put into risk categories, and have different levels of clearance based on travel patterns, previous scans and other data.

I heard today that they are thinking about using the new technology called "RFID" with medical patients. They would insert a RFID chip under your skin that would contain all you medical records. If you fell ill, the hospital would only need to scan your RFID chip to see your entire medical history. Not sure if it is true though.

In 2007 they are coming out with glasses that allow you to see where you are going AND that display a virtual 35" TV in front of you to watch whatever video source you have available.
