ice in a plastic bag wrapped in a wet towel and applied to the muscles. also, take a good pain reliever if you have one handy and take it easy until it has stopped hurting for one week. if you go for a run or perform some other strenuous activity the minute you feel better, you'll be right back to square one.

Actually you would want some pain killers first, than I suggest soaking in a cold bath not a warm bath, than try not to work out for a couple days ease your way into it again. Take it slow!

well first if you pulled them while doing exercise. then you probably didn't stretch properly after your workout. try cold heat or something like that to help it
