Well, there will always be wars and rumors of wars.

Yes, Jesus will return but we don't know when. I'm sure the world is going to get a lot worse before He really returns. Either way, the world won't be ready. It's up to us to fill our lamps with oil (to prepare) in case it happens in our lifetime or not.

It's evident that the second coming of Jesus Christ is closer than ever before. As Christians or followers of Jesus Christ (I'm assuming that you're a Christian, too) we're encouraged to "Watch and be Ready." Matthew 24, tells us that no one knows the day or hour of Jesus' Second Coming, except God the Father. The day of Christ return is compared to the period of the Great Flood during the days of Noah in the Old Testament. No one believed it, until it was, too, late. No one, as in: any one who doesn't have a repenting, turn completely away from your sins, relationship with Jesus Christ.
There is another view that must be said. I'm so sick of people calling Christians "narrow-minded". That title alone is contradictory. Why is it that when a Christian stands on what they believe, we have to be narrow-minded? I just don't get that at all. I do apologize for one thing though, to anyone who has been hurt by Christianity, please know that it was a Christian that hurt you, not Christ alone. There is no need to apply your feeling over the whole Christian community, the True Body of Christ. If you do some research into Biblical prophecies, the nation of Isreal has some very significant roles to play in the "last day". And the nation is also playing a very big role in the events of today. Right now, as we speak. I wish that I could go into details, but sadly I am still in the process of researching myself. I would admonish anybody to take another unbiased look at the most persecuted book of all times, and make the call for yourself, having in mind that the Bible is truely the unfallible Word of God.

If I recall correctly, this has been said so many times. There is always war going on. This one is just another dispute that get all the media attention. We are in the new age where we got all the informatiion in the world. And the media are making things look worse than ever so that it gets your attention.

And please be patient and don't be panic. Jesus will come at his own time table.

Why worry or concern so much about it ? You have been good right ?

Don't stop what you have been doing. If jesus is coming later than you think, you will just be wasting your time worrying sick for nothing.

Just play along and do whatever you have been doing.

Do you realize that such "proof" has been talked about for centuries now? Every time there are lots of wars or famines or what not, it's always been claimed by some to mean that "The End is Near".

I think people should focus on trying to make the world better and being better people---not hoping for their favorite apocalypse. But that's just me.

It is written in scripture that no one knows the time that the second coming is. People thought Jesus was going to return during the last Persian Gulf War and before that too.

Please, think carefully before making statements that are not accurate according to the bible. Yes, wars were mentioned in the bible, but bad things, including wars, have been happening for thousands of years. Isn't it easier and better to just quote the scripture and not expound on it?

I think that the war will escalate into world war 3, and nuclear weapons will likely be used. Then we will have a pretty good idea that Jesus will soon return to earth.

I believe that Jesus will return, but my theological train in a very reputable and evangelical seminary tells me that the current wars are not proof of anything except that we live in a fallen world. In fact, Jesus himself said "You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come." Matt 24:6 (NIV) His point is all wars are pointing to his return but don't look at any particular series as THE sign of his return. The danger is lost credibility of the Gospel.

Don't be a tool. You do realize that wars have been going on all over the world well before he was (allegedly) here the first time, and have been going on ever since. What makes you think the wars going on now are somehow special or different? Or are you so narrow minded that you can't see beyond our own time? Man, Christians really get on my nerves.
