what do you call a person who's scared of the dark, deep water, tight places, hights, and something bad is going to happen. paranoid about dust mites, really scared of caterpillar, worms, bugs and snakes. i used to play with worms and frogs and spiders when i was little, but now i'm scared of them-maybe they cursed me so i won't torture them anymore-jokingly thinking.i'm even paranoid about germs, bacteria and all that bad stuffs.
don't say i'm a freak or neat freak, that doesn't explain why i'm like this or doesn't narrow it down to what you really call a person like me besides a freak.
unsurcastic answer will be appreciated.

To be honest I don't like any of that stuff either. But, I don't focus on it. I try to never think about dust mites and it is pretty easy since you can not see them. The critters are easy to avoid because you have to go out in the country to see that stuff. But probably almost everyone tries to avoid deep, dark water unless they are a diver of some sort. No one likes tight places - for very long. I don't like heights and alot people don't...and when ever things seem to be going well - fear of something bad happening to mess things up is human nature...you might be close to normal...but the fact that you are asking this is worrysome. Maybe you focus on these negative things too much and you need to focus on the possitive things around you a bit more... Try not to worry about things you can't see like germs - just wash your hands after touching stuff in public areas especially.

I am scared of a whole lot of things, too. I am told it is b/c I don't eat properly. Could this be the case with you?
Think about the following--are you a) eating a lot of carbohydrates or sugar, b) sleeping enough? c) taking a medication which causes the effects that you mentioned, d) trauamatized by something from your past?
I suggest that you think about these things and consults a medical or psychiatric doctor. Many times, it may be a medical issue causing the paranoia though. See if your heart races when you feel this way. Mine does, and in my case, it relates to too many carbohydrates. It makes all my fears worse when I don't eat properly.

It sounds like you have multiple phobias. These rarely go away on their own if sufficiently intense and you are behaviourally reinforcing them. It's occurred through a conditioning process. Systematic desensitization under the guide of a psychologist most often leads to complete recovery.

Wow hon, you've got a pretty bad case of phobia....fear...where did that fear come from that you are afraid of everything like that. You shouldn't have to live your life that way.
See a doctor and talk to a psychiatrist. There is help to get you through this and back to living a normal life again.

The phobis are just an external cue that you have been holding back from facing the truth and admitting you've been hurt. By your parents, your life, whatever. Someone has hurt you and you have to admit it to yourself and let it out. This book will help you better than any psychiatrist or medication: "Emotional Resilience" by David Viscott.

Just go see a good psychiatrist (not a counselor or psychologist as they don't have enough training).......he can tell you what's going on......and besides, lots of people with psychiatric illnesses live very functional lives.....been there and done that.....

You have phobias from your description. Those, I believe, have much to do with some traumas in your life. If you contact a counselor, you can talk about them, before you develop more.
