LOL, you answered my question about my 3.5 year old daughter. Did everyone give you a good explanation? Are you doing fractions yet in school? 3.5 would be 3 and a 1/2 which would be 3 years 6 months....

You clearly don't have kids. The emotional and developmental difference between 3 and 3.5 is HUGE. That is why people distinguish between months at these early ages. The difference between 3 and 3.5 is more like the difference between 13 and 16.

3.5 means the child is 3 1/2 years old. You would know that if you took math.

yeah it is easier to say just 3 but we as parents love the fact that our children are getting older ,but to answer ur question 3 yrs 6 months that's how,6 months from 4

okay.3 is a whole number right?yes. but .5 is not.if you add 5 more that will be 10 which is a whole number and would make the kid 4.but since .5 is not whole it would only make the kid 5 and a half.
