Rather than limiting your education to the words spoken by so-called "Christians" today, investigate what Christ himself said, and what his first-century (C.E.) associates wrote in the bible.
In fact, the bible most closely associates being "Christian" with preaching about Christ and Christ's teachings. Review all three times the times the bible uses the term "Christian" and note that the context connects the term with:
"declaring the good news"
'teaching quite a crowd'
'open eyes, turn from dark to light'
"uttering sayings of truth"
"persuade"
"keep on glorifying"
(Acts 11:20-26) [The early disciples of Jesus] began talking to the Greek-speaking people, declaring the good news of the Lord Jesus... and taught quite a crowd, and it was first in Antioch that the disciples were by divine providence called Christians.
(Acts 26:17-28) [Jesus said to Paul] I am sending you, to open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light and from the authority of Satan to God... Paul said: “I am not going mad, Your Excellency Festus, but I am uttering sayings of truth and of soundness of mind. ...Do you, King Agrippa, believe the Prophets? I know you believe.” But Agrippa said to Paul: “In a short time you would persuade me to become a Christian.”
(1 Peter 4:14-16) If you are being reproached for the name of Christ, you are happy... But if he suffers as a Christian, let him not feel shame, but let him keep on glorifying God in this name
So why do anti-Witnesses try to hijack the term "Christian" and hide its Scriptural implications? Because anti-Witnesses recognize that it is the preaching work that makes it clear that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are by far the most prominent followers of Christ:
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded

You should accept Christianity (I think) because:
(1) If you research it, the evidence strongly points towards there being a God.
a. The universe had a beginning.
b. The theory of evolution is very flawed.
d. No strong evidence against the existence of God.
c. The fact the Jesus fulfilled the messianic prophecies proves there is a "higher power"
(2) Of all the religions in the world Christianity has, (in my opinion) the best, (and the only) evidence for it.
a. The fact that Jesus fulfilled the messianic prophecies proves he was the "messiah" (the messianic prophecies are the prophecies the describe in detail the messiah that would come according to the Jewish Scripture) This means the Jewish faith was correct, and so at least one religion the believes Jesus was the messiah must be correct. (such as Christians, Catholics, Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses)
b. If you accept that one of these religions must be correct, it is easy to find fundamental flaws in all other faiths. (in my opinion anyway) Ron Rhodes is an excellect author on that subject.
I would suggest that you research it for yourself, Some books that helped me are: "The Case For Christ" by Lee Strobel and "I Don't Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist" by Norman L. Geisler and Frank Turek. Ron Rhodes is another excellent Christian Apologetics author.
If you have any other questions at all I would be more than happy to help.
Hope that helps,

First, Christians claim the only way to the Father (God) is through the Son (Jesus). Second, Christians agree there is only ONE GOD, as the Bible says. Mormons are not considered Christians, they are a cult. Third, Jehovah's Witnesses are also in the same category as Mormons. All Christians believe in the Trinity. Fourth, Catholicism, as Mormons and Jehovah's Witness. Fifth, the Bible clearly states baptism is necessary.
You need to get into a good Bible study, with a Concordance to help you with wording in the Bible.
Christianity has different denominations, don't confuse those with cults. You need to understand it's not the man-made denominations within Christianity that matter, it is that you believe what the Bible teaches and live your life accordingly.
Why should you accept Christ, well if you don't you will not have the best in this life and have an afterlife in Heaven with God.

I can only tell you why am Christian. For one thing, because when I go through the drudgery of day to day life I know there has to have been more intended for people than the world we live in. In Genesis we read of what Jehovah intended for us. As you may have guessed by my referencing the Bible and the name of God. I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Notice I am a Christian. Contrary to earlier posts we Witnesses are Christians. I suggest that you take a look at the good and bad parts of your life. Then in the case of my religion, talk to a flesh and blood Witness. I suggest talking face to face because, among other things, anyone can say almost anything over the net and claim to be almost anyone. If you do not wish to talk to us in person then I suggest you go to our official website http://www.watchtower.org

The only thing you need to accept, is that Jesus died for your sins.... the rest is gravy.
Wouldn't it be better to accept Christ, then maybe find out you were wrong, rather than to reject him & then find out "Christians" were right? You have nothing to lose by accepting him. There is only one God, his Son - Jesus and the Holy Spirit (which lives in our heart when we become saved.)
You need to find a bible teaching church. Not one (like the Mormans) who made up their own book, which by the way is a sin itself.
Ask PTL or some other leader of a Christian organization if they can help clarify your questions. I mean look at James & Tammy Faye Baker & other scandolus stories and how they affected people like you. Remember, they are human too. We all make mistakes, but I'm forgiven for mine, are you?
What is in your heart?
Best to you...God does love you.

If you want to accept him, do so. Dont let others confuse you with the cults they call religions.
They were simply created to control the peasants of the old times. An average person in a developed nation is not a peasant anymore. He/she will watch tv, read the news, know the basics of science. Some peasants in the past managed to brainwash their offsprings and then they did it to their own offsprings and so on. Thats why we still have people killing in the name of god. And bashing in the name of god. And hating in the name of god.
I personally would never believe in a god who would send me in hell just because I doubt him. It is his responsibility as a perfect being to show himself to me or at least help people who are suffering for no reason. A god like this is not in my "perfect being" list. I am being nice and polite to people. I have never hurt anyone on purpose and I accept slaps on my face. There is no single person I hate. And if god denies me access to heaven, but at the same time letting a full of hate and anger Christian to get there then this is not my god. Id rather be doomed. He made me intelligent and granted me the mentality to question and judge in the first place. Sorry, a man written book wont do it for me. I want to see something. What did the people 2000 years ago have better than me, to see him and see his miracles?

It isn't Christians that make this claim - it is Jesus himself.
The Bible has proven true despite being 1/3 prophecy, foretelling of the birth, life, evens and deaths of Jesus Christ. Foretelling of Israel, Jerusalem and world events.
The Bible was written by 40 authors, in different languages over 1600 years.
No other religious book can make these claims.
Only one faith (Christain) has an answer for sin. That is key.

You should follow your heart to the belief you choose. I believe that I have been led to Christianity by the Lord. I have felt His passion and presence in my church and in times of need. I have never felt that "presence" before I accepted Jesus completely. The term "Christians" was given to the followers of Jesus. We have only one God and those who do not agree with that are not true Christians. The Bible is the Word of God and the truth. To understand and become familiar with the Bible, it has to be read entirely. I was baptized by water as a child - I have now been baptized by the Holy Spirit.

Thats an excellent Q and one that shouldnt have to be asked if people wouldnt follow Satan.
Besides, is it any surprise that people take a complex volume of books like the Bible and get different ideas about it?
But I can say this: Christianity is THEE ONLY religion that believes Jesus was the Son of God and our savior as he claimed. So do you believe Jesus was a lunatic? liar? or LORD?
I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. -John 5:24

It isnt Christianity you have to accept.. ( well sorta ) ..it is Jesus that you have to accept as Leader and as Life Giver... and to follow Him and obey His commands.
God says there is One God , so a Christian has to learn to agree with God. ( remember that many people do not ever bother to read the scriptures for themselves and so accept whatever someone in church tells them the bible says.even if it doesnt. )
Jesus describes Himself as Salvation...and explains what one must do to enter into the Kingdom. No church can save anyone however much they might want to believe it. According to God.. ( Jesus ) only God is Saviour. The only way to find that out..is to actually READ ALL of the scriptures with firm belief in right and wrong inside your heart. ( That simple belief means someone believes in God whether or not they know it or agree with it. )
The easiest way to follow Jesus ..is to stop listening to what everyone tells you about Jesus ..and to simply read all of the scriptures yourself. ( that was one of Jesus commands by the way. )
