God doesn't. God has all of us Kids to deal with, but since the Divine wanted to send a Messenger, that messenger had to be in the gender of the sex that was "in power" at the time. In Judaism, that's a son. Women were then and still are considered second class. We've had a patriarchy for far too long, I might add. Could you imagine Jesus as a girl? The first piping up of theology and she'd have been stoned. Sad isn't it.

God does not have a son in the way that Muslims imagine.

The term "Son" is in respect to an understanding of God's nature. For the Christians understand God as a Trinity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each is God wholly and entirely, for Christians believe that God is One (just like the Muslims). Each has existed for all eternity.

The difficulty comes in understanding how each part of the Trinity is distinguished from the other. We may picture the Father as an old creator, and the Son as Jesus, and the Holy Spirit as a dove or a flame, but this is only a representation. When the apostles would ask Jesus to show us the Father, Jesus would reply, "I and the Father are one." To understand the Trinity is difficult, it is perhaps a little like understanding that water can be a liquid, a solid or a gas... It appears different but it is the same substance. In any event our minds cannot understand the nature of God, for us we can only admire the greatness of God.

The Bible shows very clearly that there is only one God, and yet that there are three personal distinctions in His complex nature, traditionally referred to as "three Persons in the Godhead"—God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each is distinct from the others but never acts independently. They are one in nature and purpose. This mystery is called the doctrine of the Trinity, though that term is not used in the Bible. The teaching, however, is present in seed form in the Old Testament and is revealed explicitly in the New Testament. Note passages such as Matthew 28:19; John 10:30, 14:26; 2 Corinthians 13:14.

Our finite minds cannot understand or explain this mystery of God, which is nevertheless a fact. We must accept the truths found in the Word of God by faith even though we ourselves cannot comprehend them fully; read Hebrews 11:1,3,6 and 1 Corinthians 2:5-10;14; 13:12. It is really not surprising that the infinite God should be complex in His nature beyond the ability of finite humans to comprehend! This doctrine is absolutely essential to New Testament Christianity. Theologians have pointed out that if it were not true, the Bible would be unreliable, Christ would not be divine, and His death on the cross would not atone for our sins, being merely the death of a martyr.

We are all His sons and daughters, God wanted a large family.

See how very much our heavenly Father loves us, for he allows us to be called his children, and we really are! 1 John 3:1(NLT)

God wants a family, and he created you to be a part of it. This is God's second purpose for your life, which he planned before you were born. The entire Bible is the story of God building a family who will love Him, honor Him, and reign with Him forever. It says, "His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. And this gave him great pleasure" (Ephesians 1:5 NLT).

The Godhead - Trinity - was established forever. In Genesis, God refers to Himself as "us" - Father, Son, Holy Spirit.

His image is represented in us in the body, soul and spirit.

Truly, God did die for our sins in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

He needed someone to go down and die for the sins of his children (we are all children of god, but we weren't strong enough to take the pain of sin...)
