If you are serious about staying healthy, stay away from Slim Fast. It has way to much sugar in it and is counter-productive to long term weight loss. I have no doubt that people lose weight while they are on it because it limits your calorie intake and, let's face it, that's a sure fire way to lose.

If you are considering slim fast because you need a "filler" or something to eat on the run, then I would recommend Pria Bars. Not the Pria bars that are 110 calories, the ones called Pria Complete Nutrition. They are 170 calories each (all good calories) and I like the carb/protein ratio. The sugars are not to high, either. They only have three flavors, but all are good. If you need more calories for your snack, or would like another choice, then go with a Balance Bar. Some of them are high in sugar, so make sure you are choosing a flavor that is 15 grams or less.

For overall good health, I always recommend that people eat protein and a good carb at every meal, and regardless of what you choose to eat or to snack on, be sure to check the labels for the sugar content.

I am certified by the International Fitness Association for Sport Nutrition, so if you work out and you want to be sure you are feeding your body correctly, you can IM me, or send me an e-mail with your questions.

Good luck.

Do you mean the Slim Fast product? I heard from my uncle they only work if that is all you consume ( 3 a day). If you use them as snacks between meals you can actually GAIN weight. That's what happened to him. Now if your talking about going on a literal fast if depends on what kind. The spa fast gets rid of toxins in the body and is good for weight loss, but the first 24 hours on any fast you get headaches.

If you do all these things, than you shouldn't need the slim fast. If you're eating good and taking your vitamins, then out of curiosity why would you want the slim fast? It's just a liquid that goes in one end and out the other, don't waste your time, sounds like you're doing great.

Slim Fast doesn't work for me. All it does is make want to eat more!!! I gain weight on Slim Fast because I drink the shake and then I'm hungry and eat!! It's awful!

Liquid diets and Slimfast stuff can be very unhealthy. and the loss is not permanent. Keep on eating right, and smaller amounts, and working out. Results will come!
