If you're getting dizzy that's a sign of low blood sugar. I know because I've had it as well and the way to cure it is to eat well and eat the right foods. Pasta, bread, salads, rice, etc. are ideal foods especially the night before. You need to eat plenty of foods that are low in fat but still high in energy.

If you're a couch potato like 80% of the people out there then carbs are considered bad for you. If you are training every day and putting in the miles, you need it! Get more proteins and carbs. Fat is still bad since it isn't easy to burn when it stores but carbs quickly breakdown into sugar and go right into your bloodstream so you have the energy when you need it. When I ran track and cross country it was very important to carbo load the night before a big race and this is exactly the reason why. If you don't your whole body feels like jelly and you get that tingly lethargic feel the next day.

As for the 90 degree weather, this is something you can adjust to the more you train in it. If you consistently train in heat your body will eventually acclimate to the conditions and it will get easier. Just make sure you get plenty of fluids and stay well hydrated.

If you are susceptible to light headedness or fatigue and you are going for a long run then have someone run with you. I would NOT recommend pushing through it in this case.

You need some protein. warm up by doing push ups & sit ups for 15 minutes. Drink at least 2 glasses of water before you start. But eat a Power Bar 30 minutes before you start. When you begin, walk the first 1/4 mile, get into a slow jog, then take bigger steps / strides. Run early in the morning or at sunset. If you feel dizzy, don't hesitate to stop running or sit on the curb. Then, as the other person said, increase each time you run. Increase about 1/4 mile in my opinion.

Being a vegetarian can affect your physical endurance; it really depends on your body. I played soccer for 11 years and I never had to eat a lot of protein before a game/practice, but one of my teammates did. She said she wouldn't have any energy if she did not do this. I hate to break it to you, but is more to meat than just protein. So, protein supplements might not be the answer. I'm afraid that I don't remember what the other stuff is in meat, but without it, your body will not be energetic. I'd suggest researching the nutritional values of meat and seeing if you can get some of the nutrients [not tryptophan, but stuff like it] in the supplement form or in other foods.
Good luck!

wow
You don't sound healthy enough to run.
I participate in Track & Field every year at my school.
My advice is to get healthier.
I don't think it has anything to do with being a vegetarian.
I run the 400 meter dash, 1500 meter relay, 200 meter dash, and I do the Triple Jump.
I haven't gotten to this point at all in my Track career.
I have taken summer's off and everything, but I have never felt this way before.
I think you should consult a doctory about feeling dizzy when you run.
Also, look at the sources listed below please.
I think you waited a long while to get back in shape, and it just takes a while to get back into it.

Good Luck,

Kenya

well to train your body to run- you need to add a few things to your schedule--- jog for a bit- then sprint for 10 seconds-- do this many times during your run-change the timing and intervals to suit your abilities and needs---- running up hills builds up length strength but running down hills trains your legs to move faster--- and yes you need protein in your diet-- if you dont eat meat fine-- but find at protein somewhere else- no athelete is a vegetarian

I'm a veg too and same thing happened. Thought it was because I gained weight. Maybe protein difficient? Add beans, peanut butter, and eggs if you eat them. I will be watching for others suggestions, too.
