People have a belief that it cant happen to them

There would not be much quality of life if everyone feared death every moment so was constantly preoccupied with trying to be "safe" and prevent it.

People might as well live as they choose...if they'd rather live on the edge and die young than live ultra cautiously and to an old age, that should be their choice...

We die when we die...I try not to be TOO careless, but I also don't spend a lot of time worrying about when or how I might expire...

...and for the record, I'm not a religious person (virtual agnostic)

Why live your whole life worrying about when or how you will die? If you did that then you would miss out on living. Life is beautiful and fun. Do you get on a roller coaster and spend the whole ride worrying about when it will end? No, you just enjoy the ride.

I am an Atheist.

Wow.. that has been my question for a long time.. Why does this guy steal from the people (for example, a Senator) and just cannot steal enough.. Doesn't he realize that he would or could die at any time?

I've just gotten used to the idea. What the heck, like you say you can go at any time. No need to get all jazzed up over everything, Might as well enjoy it!

Some people just don't care. That's about the closest any explanation is going to get to the truth.

Some people like living on the edge, that's when they feel truly alive.

So...We will die. Yep...who cares? I certainly don't care about what a bunch of people who have never died say will happen to me...I have a feeling we all have something good in store for us next...even if it's eternal blackness.

Well, if we're bound to die then we may as well make a time of it whilst we're here, or we could tip toe into our graves full of anxiety.
