They get repelled...they don't like the scent.

Insceticide kills...a repellent repells.

The bugs don't like the repelent (scent) of the spray and they stay away!!they don't get to bite you.

They don't sting, they bite. And they're repelled by the smell, so they don't bite you in the first place.

repellents do indeed repel, mosquitos are attracted to the scent of sweat, most mosquito repellents mask the odor... so it isnt really " repelling them" its just hiding you from them :)

they dont sting they dont like the smell and fly away if they dont die first
