Are the new generation of closely shaven, in your face, laddish women positive for the feminist movement?

I'm not scared of exposing my mind. I am VERY out spoken and will tell anyone off if I think they are being ignorant.

Are intelligent women afraid of exposing their minds? I haven't noticed that.

The laddish women that you describe are generally young 18-25 and seem to exist in a culture where that if you are not falling over drunk in the street that somehow they are not worthy.

I don't know what it does for a "feminist movement" I've never been involved in one and am not entirely sure that such a movement exists anymore.

the feminist movement is purely on the ability and freedom to choose. Society has plotted against the image of feminist to be extreme radicals, but truly it may not be. I am an intelligent woman, I believe, and I have no trouble expressing how or what I am thinking.

But the reason why some are, might just be their insecurities, because women have a pattern to gain more insecurities as they grow older.

Truly intelligent women are not afraid to show it. I know it's my best asset.
Side note: The Feminist Movement, while had definite merit, didn't exactly lead us to the best place. Who truly wants to be equal with men? They aren't the brightest bulbs in the box and they usually think with their smaller head.

I have never met a truly intelligent woman who is scared of exposing her mind. What exactly do you think they are not doing that previous generation did?

Because society says intelligence is not an asset. Most men want the Jessica Simpson's of the world, so many women dumb themselves up to get a man. happily I am not one of them.

here is the deal... the only girls who are scared to show that they are smart, intelligent, beautiful, powerful creatures are those who have low self esteem.. either because of personal issues or past experiences.. but either way... she needs a boost to feel confident enough to let her true colors fly... this also explains that other guys answer.. because black women tend to be more self confident than white women.. in general.. not all....
