there's no way out......now you have to do the essays
I applied for an scholarship last year, I had to do 3 essays....I had to do them like 1 month earlier..then I showed it to my teachers to know what they think about them....and after all that stress and worrying.....I was accepted!
You should've prepared your essays at least 2 weeks before you fill in your application

Most scholarships sart with an essay, I have seen a few with just an application. Also, there are a few ut there for particular areas of study or offered by companies and organizatins that may want a video, recording or other form of submission..

Are you writing essays or personal statements? I apply for a lot of scholarships and mainly I am asked to submit a personal statement. I have about 20 different statements, I just modify them depending on the scholarship. What kind of scholarships are you applying to? Are they school scholarships, off campus organization scholarships like on fastweb.com?

Most of the time - yes. However, sometimes their are other things. For example, you can enter contests or submit artwork etc. Try doing a FastWeb scholarship search and sorting your award results by "type". It's a column at the top of the results.

Most of the time yes you do...for your interview. Best to let them know, regardless if you get it or not. You will work three jobs or more to go to college..."They like the fact that you want it that bad". Introduce yourself at your interview...even if they introduce you first to everyone! Tell them of all the hardships you have had and the opportunity you will lose with out this scholarship! Be honest...eager..and above all Anxious!!! Good luck! You will get it!
