Strictly Three Options? Satan is a Theist. Abramic Religions are Satanic Religions.

I reject Satan and in doing so reject ideas based on a model of self and world divided by a spiritual conflict between a good one in Heaven and an evil one cast down to and ruling over Earth. I affirm ideas based on a model of self and world unified by continuous spiritual communion between soul and spirit of an infinity, divinity, eternally one. Maybe in a sense the idea of Satan is a demonization of the Earth itself. Maybe Satan is projection by imagination of the discovery of truth about the primal conflict between predator and prey that divides our body consuming biosphere into mystrey of myth about the spiritual conflict between a good one in Heaven at war with an evil one cast down to and ruling over Earth. What do people use the idea of Satan for if not to explain in their own minds negative outcomes experienced by the seed body in the game of survival and sacrifice? From this an optimist interpretation of prophesizes of Satan being cast into a lake of fire would follow as a reference to the time 5 billion years from now when our sun will run out of Hydrogen fuel and swell to become a red giant first boiling the oceans and atmosphere away and final consuming the planet Earth.

Satan is a Theist. He was created by God. He was the archangel before his fall. The Bible says, "You will believe there is one God. You do well; the demons also believe, and tremble" (James 2:19). This Scripture cannot also be applied to Satan since he rules over the demons.

Satan

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of God plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

I guess a Theist, but technically, to be a Theist you have to have FAITH that God exists. Satan, if he exists that is, KNOWS God is real, and therefore doesn't have faith.

So the answer is none of those.

Isn't the story that Satan was cast out of heaven for deciding basically he was God. So doesn't that make him God himself according to the story or at least he thinks that. So where does religion play in that if it is all about you?
