Start applying at 6 weeks. I have tried everything known to man. Frontline works the best. It often works on my dogs quite a bit longer than a month. You can get it at your vet or order from PetMed Express online.

At 6 weeks old you can start them on a flea preventitive but also make sure you go by the size or weight of the puppy when knowing which exact amount of dosage is appropriate for your pet. I used Advantage for my Chihuahua from the time she was about 5 weeks old but the vet said to half the dose for the first time because she was so tiny. You put it on the back of their neck where they cannot possibly reach around and lick it off so rub it in real good too so it won't run or drip where she could reach it with her tongue. It's very simple or I couldn't have done it. And the best part she never had fleas!! :> It's a little bit expensive but worth it.

bypass to the vet and get spray on frontline. over-the-counter stuff doesnt artwork. Bathing doesnt artwork both because the fleas can breathe through your pets pores and skin. positioned the frontline on the kittens through putting a small quantity on your hands and rubbing the kitties and mom. The vaccum your domicile with a flea collar in the vaccum bag so the fleas will die in there, then unload he bag. attempt this some situations and sparkling any blankets/sheets the cats would lay on as a results of eggs.it may take some days and a cupple situations vaccuuming even with the undeniable fact that it is going to do the trick playstation dont use flea collars round their necks it basically seems after the fleas around the neck so the fleas will migrate to the butt, also over-the-counter products like hartz that are literally not perscribed through vets can kill your cat. get stuff out of your vet

Wait a few more weeks because that is way too young. I've been using Frontline Plus on my puppy since she has been 8 weeks old and i have never seen one flea on her. Make sure though that you dont' use more than one product of any kind at one time.

Im not sure if there is a product that gets rid of the fleas without actually "hurting" the flea! Perhaps you could gently catch them and put them on the neighbours dog:-)

You can call your vet and ask, but I have seen(on animal planet shows) them use flea and tick shampoos on very young pups when there is a bad flea problem. Ask the vet if it will be okay. Is the 4 weeks old pup away from its mother already?

At six weeks you can begin applying flea/tick preventatives and killers. The best product I've used on my dogs is K9 Advantix.
