I'd say between a week or two you'd see something. But I recently read that too many situps make no difference in your stomach.....if you just did like 50-100 every other day, you would be just as good as if you did like 300 in a day. The key is to do some jogging, walking mixed in with the 50-100 situps every other day. Good luck.

Well by doing 100-200 situps a day you should start to see results in about 10 days. The muscle will not be built but you will however start to see the lines of your abs come out. If you continue doing this routine it shouldn't take you long to aachieve your goal and your abs should be starting to toughen and form in about 6 weeks. Also the results will depend on how much body fat you have. If you have too much you will need to burn it off in order for your mucles to tone. Another thing you can do is do other different ab excercises.
Here are some examples of abdominal excercises --------> http://exercise.about.com/od/abs/ss/abexercises.htm

Get lessons from someone trained for the proper body mechanics in doing variations of ab work to work each group of abdominal muscles.
If you do abs correctly, take it very slow and allow some "burn". Improvement and how quickly you see change will be according to your age, genetic predispostion, eating habits and vitamin intake, you could see results in 30 days. But it has to become a part of your life, like washing, eating & sleeping.
After your body begins to "crave" the workouts, you will notice that you will begin sculpting your body, and the muscles will burn the fat and some definition will apppear little by little. Keep it in mind that when you lift to do the movements, your body will move very very little. No need to fully lift your back to do sit-ups. In fact, injury and strain can occur. That is why you need to make the expense to hire a professional for several lessons to get the technique down properly. After your abs build up, you will notice that your back will be stronger, which is a great by-product of doing this type of exercise.
Just remember, it isn't Quantity of ab movements, it's the Quality of the movements that will help the muscles to retain the improvement for many years to come. Muscle has memory. My best to you!

You won't get abs of steel doing sit ups alone. You'll need to do some cardio to get the fat off the top of the muscles you're working.

There is nothing quick in this world when it comes to fitness. If it took you 6 months to pack the stomach full of celluloid, expect about 6 months to reshape it. That's if you exercise and eat a proper diet.
It takes time, dedicaiton, and resilience.
