lets be honest, im not trying to be a jealous or power hungry person, but why does god get to be the alpha and the omega, omnicious and omnipotent? does that mean were all god?cause thatd be the most logical explanation to me?and is the thought of a life with no higher power at work that scary, that we have to categorize something so simple as the conscience as "god"?cause if we take a look at the ten commandments, they're pretty much things one doesn't do consciously.after all humans do fear the unknown, and they do have an infatuation with labeling?

It's not only acceptable to me, it's real. I have felt the passion and the presence of the Lord. I have been baptized by the Holy Spirit. I cannot explain the feeling and the power of this to anyone who hasn't experienced it personally. I simply have an understanding and knowledge of the Lord that cannot be destroyed by anyone.

God is the alpha and omega because He is God! We are not God. We cannot do any of the things He has done. Just look at creation. Here is a planet that happens to be perfect for life in so many ways. As physicists, biologists and PhDs of other stripes learn more they realize that our world and our physics are so complex and so fine tuned that its absurd to think this is random chance. Think about our DNA. It is really biological computer code. That just randomly occurred??? The only logical explanation is everything was created by an intelligent creator. That is just another name for God.

It is our fallen nature that makes us want to be our own gods. Hey, why not there is no one stopping us! We can be in complete control and make things happen. But that is just what the enemy wants us to think. Those are the lies that he tells.

When you understand the biblical worldview and link that with the emotion you get from feeling God's presence, you know you are in the right place. And you just want to share it with others.

***is the possibility of a higher being really acceptible? ***

Yes, to some the possibility of a higher being really is acceptable, to others it is not. Only you can decide for you.

Exodus 20:5
You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God,

Commandment #1.
Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

The Penalty for disobedience follows.

Leviticus 24:16
anyone who blasphemes the name of the LORD must be put to death. The entire assembly must stone him. Whether an alien or native-born, when he blasphemes the Name, he must be put to death.

Indeed all of the Commandments in one way or another carry the death penalty, usually by stoning. This proclamation by God is gratefully unenforceable at this time.

We need not fear the unknown it is better to get to know it.

I am not sure I understand your point. Let's say I found your argument convincing and so I grant you permission to be God. then what? You are still the same person you were before my grandiose pronouncement. There's nothing I can say or think in response to your question which helps you at all.

You'll just have to muddle on through life, just as the rest of us do.

Sorry\.

Can you create another universe? Can you create, not make but actually create another human being.
Can you design a person's body to be so magnificent and the workings of the organs that have never been made before?
Can you create the abundant wildlife with the diversity that we see on this planet?

i think you have the answer in your question
i do believe that we are all part of god , like a mother and father pass on DNA ... if we come from god then doesnt it stand to reason that we share part of him/her
i think you would enjoy the book .. Conversations with God by neale donald walsh
the book covers this very question
and even if you dont accept that it is written by god as it claims to be .. it gives the most honest and logical answers ive ever read on the whole subject

I take the Roman view on gods--not omniscient, omnipotent, or omnibenevolent. Their gods were much more "human" and each had jurisdiction over certain areas, but certainly not everything.

Is it unacceptable? Fake it til you make it, begin to pray for others even your enemies pray for a month every morning and evening(what do you have to loose) see if there is a God ,it does not have to be the God of my understanding,in fact just be willing to believe is enough to start, please try it.Do not pray for your self but others.

a "higher being" is a distraction from reality. Its a way to say, hey, its not our fault this world s u c k s.

But reality is: yes, it is our fault. WE need to correct it, not wait for some magical, imaginary, non-existant "savior" to do it for us. Religion is lazy, they want "god" to fix us, but only we can do that.

Categorization as "godly" or whatever is a cop-out and waste of time

I think saying another higher "being" can be misleading. I do however believe there is a power behind us bigger than anything we could ever comprehend. Who's really to say if its a being, a god or whatever...
