How can I get peace of mind?

how can i get everything i want out of life here on earth without going back to prison?

~Set legal goals and work for them within the rules. I doubt you can get everything you want out of life to begin with, and you'd be bored stiff if you did (assuming you want anything meaningful), as trying to acchieve it is more fulfilling than having it. Since you've been to prison, I presume you are into instant gratification and adverse to earning what you want and you put yourself above the rules and the rights of others, so you'll have a wee bit of trouble making anything of yourself or doing anything worthwhile.

You must realize that you will NOT get everything you want out of life--perhaps wanting everything out of life is what landed you in prison in the first place, and I dont say that to offend you..

Deary, life is a struggle. NO ONE gets everything that they want. Dont you know that even the richest, most beautiful people on earth still dont have All that they want? Thats life..

You must Strive for the things you want the right way, and appreciate the blessings that you do have. The way I see it--as long as you have breath in your body, food to eat, a safe and warm place to sleep, and your health is good--you're doing better than 70% of other people in the world. There's a song that says:

Though you may not have-
a great big Cadillac...
with "gangter white walls", and a TV in the back.
You may not have-
a car at all.
But remember Brothers and Sisters-
you can STILL Stand Tall.
Just Be Thankful-
for what you GOT.

Are the things you want out of material things?Is it that you dont have enough money to get the material things that you think will bring you peace of mind?Remember..,things can be replaced..,but you and your future cannot not be.Look for the simpler things in life and less complicated for you,then tackle one problem or quest at a time.Maybe you are too hard on yourself and dont have enough confidence in who you are..,I'm not sure as I dont know you.But dont do anything that will put you back in prision,you are here for a purpose and although you may not know yet what it is..,it will come in time.We are all here to help and teach one another and I know theres something within you that you can help someone else overcome or accomplish and then go for it.You are a shining star and dont screw it up with prison ok?Good luck..,and I am not a religous person but you will be in my prayers tonight for God to help you find the peace you need and to lighten your burdens.Keep us posted and I wish you all the best.

to find peace of mind, you have to discover who you really are, meaning the spirit in you. The material side of thing you've got it well covered it seems. When you come to full realization that what you are is a spiritual being, you will find peace of mind. How to get there? Meditation, reading or listening to books about consciousness? Making friends with people who already have raised their awareness and conscience level. It's a life long journey but this is what counts. Not the destination.

It sounds like maybe you are wanting the wrong kind of things in life. Remember that material things may bring you joy at the moment but true happiness comes from within. Surround yourself with people you love and work hard to get the material things that you need and may want. Devote some time to making yourself happy by doing charity or yoga or what ever brings you peace. It will be hard at first but trust me this will work and you will feel so much better.

I been to prison and I know that sometimes we can get to the point that we don't feel there is a direction. But remember you went to prison alone as I did and this means that you can handle whatever you need to do such as directing yourself to the positive things rather than the negative. Like schooling and job's and family and if you don't got one find one. That is how I do it.

In order not to go back to prison you must turn your life over to God! God loves you and is waiting for you to come to Him!
Start slowly by reading a chapter a day from the Bible! Talk to God everyday in prayer! Ask Him to keep you from your former ways! When you confess your sins to God He will forgive you!

The only way to get what YOU want out of life on earth is to go after it. Bootstraps -- pull yourself up by 'em. Work. Make money. Live. Love. Die. Nothing spiritual about getting what you want. You can't seek God for that.

Work hard for everything you want.
Study science, mathematics, logic, and philosophy, especially moral philosophy.
Don't fall for the religious trap.
Don't break any laws.
