Oh my...hope you don't receive heat for this one. But I too have wondered the same thing. I don't practice any particular religion but if I had to choose I would say Christian. I personally feel its more important to be spiritual than religious...AND yes there's a difference. HOWEVER there are a few things I don't agree w like how you're not supposed to judge others but it SEEMS Christians often do...SEEMS like they forget that even JESUS walked w sinners!
I'm in the process of reading a book written by 2 Christian Pastors, Its called "If God Is Love" they address this very topic. They are both very open and honest about the way they view the church...some would called it radical.
I call it amazing! Check it out if you can...the authors are Gulley & Mulholland.

Christians don't hate but share with sinners what the word of God says about sin. Sinners choose to hate Christians for it. Jesus would not hate either but share with the sinner that their choices are sinful and that they will reap eternal damnation.

If hate described what they feel for others then they would be acceptable, but its a mixture of hate and envy and ignorance and stupidity and blindness and deafness and dumbness and senseless wishful thinking and never knowing what they talk about and only hearing themselves.
Never waste your time talking to them because they do all the talking and never allow you to finish your sentences as if they know from beforehand what you are about to say.
Hate is too soft a word to describe their attitude.

well not all christians hate.Like I know plenty who accept all religions and sexualities. For these are true christians.True christians do no hate and do not fear god's other children .For jesus loves all god's children and god loves all his children.Hated is a sinful emotion. So is fear. You must cast away any fear etc for anyone whose different than you.Accept and love one another.you don't have to agree with everything someone does.. but true christians learned to tolerate those different than them.. it's a sin to discriminate against gender, race, religion and sexuality.

Because
Fear leads to anger.
Anger leads to hate.
Hatred leads to power.
Power leads to victory.
Let your anger flow through you.
Your hate will make you strong.
True power is only achieved through
testing the limits of one's anger,
passing through unscathed.
Rage channeled through anger is unstoppable.
The dark side of the Force
offers unimaginable power.
The dark side is stronger than the light.
The weak deserve their fate.
