How do I record CD And DVDs on the HP Paivillion PC desktop windows XP with Sonic and Lightscribe?

when you say 'record' do you mean make a copy or create a new CD / DVD? Either way, open your Sonic software and clk on Help. This should guide you thru it. Always read the screen for prompts such as: Insert disk / Add Content etc.
Lightscribe is a disk labeling system and the required disks are rather expensive. Being you don't know how to burn a CD, I suggest you don't start with Lightscribe disks.

For CD's, if you have Windows Media Player, just rip the Cd then burn it to a blank. As far as DVD's, you need software to do that. Try NERO.
