I used to work out in college and had built some decent mass and definition. As with all, I left the workouts after college have recently decided to pick up the weights again. Will it take me the same amount of time as the first time to start building mass and seeing definition again?

It depends on some things, how long has it been, how is your weight now compared to then? If it's been awhile it might take awhile, but if you're consistent you'll be back where you were in no time. Remember the things you did to get there, diet, discipline, etc.

No, it will be a bit quicker because of muscle memory. When you first started working out, your muscles weren't used to that kind of excersise and it takes a while to get the real hang of it. When you stop, even if some mass goes away, your body is set. The next time you start working out, your body will remember and it won't be as hard as the first time.

It depends on how long it's been since you worked out, but if it's only been 3-4 months, it won't take you as long. My son did the same thing and it only took a month for him to get back where he was when he left off. Hope this helps.

it depends - are you back to the size you were BEFORE working out in college? if so, then yes it'll still take the same amount of time. if you are a little heavier, it wont take as long....also, how long ago was it? if youre talking years, then it could take even longer because youre metabolism is slower now. good luck :)

depends on your body. i used to work out in high school, but got out of shape later on, but about a year and a half later, i started working out again and got some suprisingly quick results. but then again, i've always had good metabolism and been able to get good definition quickly.
