My answer is absolutely NO.

Yes, some people wear crosses - it's freedom of expression.

And ancient Christians who were persecuted and did not have religious freedom (until the reign of Constantine) still worshipped, even if it meant their deaths. Hopefully the First Amendment protects people of all faiths from that tragic persecution, at least by the goverment.

As far as the linked question goes (where the poster speaks about "loser Christians): too bad there are not laws against ignorance, or at least prohibitions against such ignorant expressions.

Should it be Changed? No. Our founding fathers put this in our consitution so that all people of this nation can worship how they feel like worshiping. I am a pagan, and I choose to worship a God and Goddess instead of just a God. and those who choose not to belive in a god or goddess, or satan are free to do so. The ones who are making the biggest issue of this is the Far Right, and the Far left, most of whom are Athiest. While they battle for the right to where a Cross or not to is about to Impose on my right to where my Pentagram, and that is pissing me off. A nother factor here, not long ago a child was praying over her food in a school lunch room. She was abruptly stoped from doing so. I being a Witch also Pray over my food, it is done so out of respect for the food that died to nurish my body, and in thanks to the Gods I worship for Creating this wonderful world in which I live. Since I do Pray over my food most people Assume that I am Christian, for that reason. People need to really re-think about changing our consitution. The more Goverment controll you give, the more power to change important things you give away.

we could desire to continually end dropping our time attempting to limit weapons. repeatedly, the final courtroom has set priority allowing weapons interior the hands of electorate claiming the form enables then to have weapons. No the place interior the form are US electorate given the superb to have gunpowder. The smokeless powder used in contemporary ammunition is an explosive and an exceedingly risky one. Many bomb squads throughout the country can attest to this because of the multiple calls they respond to the place they discover pipe bombs packed with gunpowder. it may be rather user-friendly to alter contemporary legislations and place gunpowder, black powder, and all fireworks decrease than the administration of the ATF. for those that elect to posses it, require comparable certifications and licenses to posses different explosives. some could say that gunpowder isn't an explosive, and whilst that's no longer a severe explosive, that's a low explosive. Ammonium Nitrate, the explosive used at Oklahoma city, is likewise a low explosive so no you may argue that low explosives are no longer risky. weapons do no longer kill, the projectile thrown removed from the EXPLOSIVE propellant does. A gun without explosives is completely a hunk of steel.

No, the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution should NOT be repealed. This amendment protects Free Speech, yours, mine and any other bozo with an opinion.

Maybe people here in the U.S. don't understand how valuable and how rare it is to have one's speech protected. We don't have to worry about someone coming to our homes. dragging us out and hurting us in some way because we spoke out against someone or something.

So, people can wear crosses. They can wear Star of Davids, and have tattoos.

We may not like what people say, but their rights, like ours, are protected. And, it should stay that way.

It says freedom of religion not from religion.People seem to get the religion and separation of church and state confused. That was meant to keep the government from making this a one religion country as it was in England. We have the freedom to wear crosses, dots on the forehead, carry bibles, burn manoras and not believe at all..,thats what our forefathers and soldiers have died for..,is our freedom.

No ! Some people wear a cross only as a fashion statement with no religious value placed upon it

Of course it should stay, and no, it should not be repealed. The question was ridiculous. I mean, why be offended at a cross? If one doesn't like it, they can look away.

No, it shouldn't. People should be allowed to believe in whatever they want, and if an "idiot Christian" like he says wants to wear a cross, then who is he to say they can't. And I'm not even Christian.
