you have to accept that for the time being, you have misused their trust, and that they have withdrawn it for a period of time, varying in length depending on the severity of the mistake. the first step to forgiveness is acknowledging that you made a mistake. i suggest you go to your parents, when they aren't expecting it, and openly and sincerely apologize to them. realize that you abused their trust and tell them that you treasure their trust and want to earn it back, but also understand that it will take some time. after that, they will realize that you have learned from your mistake, and will trust you not to make the same ones again. however, beyond that, you need to show them you're sincere. always be home by curfew, get all of your schoolwork done, do chores without asking, take on your responsibilities. if you do these things, you will earn their trust back much faster than you will by pouting or complaining "how unfair life is." good luck, and i hope things work out for you.

You should follow their rules, to the letter. For example, if their rule is your curfew is at 10 pm, then you should be in the house (not driveway) by 9:59 at the absolute latest. Trust is a funny thing, once it's lost, it's tough to regain, but your parents love you and want to trust you again, so it's not impossible. Just work hard in school, and stay out of trouble, and your parents will trust you again. It won't take as long as you think it will either, and will be worth it in the long run. Best of luck to you!

That is a tough one. And one I am sure that each and every one of us has learned about sometime or another in life. First, trust is not earned, it is given openly but once that trust is broken, it must be earned back. The only way to get them to trust you is to be trustworthy.....honest and open. Sorry but good luck!

Trust is hard to repair once broken, but it is not impossible to regain it. Show them that you are responsible by following through on things they ask you, be where you say you are going to be when you say you will be, respect your curfew, make a phone call home if you are going to be late. Show them that you are mature and responsible and they will start trusting you again. It will take time.

I am a parent. tell the trueth. and always tell the trueth. if you are honest with your parents then they have to trust you because they know that you will tell the trueth. we as parents may not always like what we hear but you should not be punished for telling the trueth. honesty is the best policy. your parents are not the enemy they love you and just try to save you from making the same mistakes they did. but everybody knows that you are not them and you travel your own path. always be honest & real

I did the same thing. I did everything they told me to do from then I. I slowly got some of my privileges back, one at a time. I didn't slip up so they began to trust me again. It takes time, so just be patient and smart.

Trust, by its nature, takes a lot of time to accumulate. There is no accelerating it. Acitng like an adult, and making good and wise decisions that they can see, will increase that, if they are like parents I am imagining.

All you have to do is be good for a long time then ask them what else you could do to earn their trust.
