Christians are allowed to do mostly whatever they wish.
The question should be:
Should Christians WANT tattoos and ear-rings?
No to tattoos
Leviticus 19:28:
“You must not make cuts in your flesh for a deceased soul, and you must not put tattoo marking upon yourselves."
1 Corinthians 6:12:
“All things are lawful for me; but not all things are advantageous.”

Are tattooos advantageous?
American Demographics magazine observed:
“It is clear that most Americans consider it risky to have visible body art. Eighty-five percent of youths agree with the statement, ‘people who have visible tattoos . . . should realize that this form of self-expression is likely to create obstacles in their career or personal relationships.’”
2Corinthians 6:3 tells us not to act in a way that would stumble others.
Ear-rings?
Personal decision.

I am a Christian, I have two holes in each ear, a belly ring and a tattoo; the tattoo is one of Michelangelo's angels from the Sistine Chapel, the one with his arms crossed and resting his head on them. He represents my guardian angel who kept me safe in a really bad car accident, he's on my right shoulder so i never forget he is there watching over me.

I have not read anything in the Bible that would prohibit it, but I am willing to listen to someone who has a different opinion. In my last church, one of the elders had an earring and another, a former marine, had a tattoo.

I do know that Mennonite and some baptists and some Church of God don't allow it. (or the wearing of any jewelry) It's not addressed in the bible, so that would be a personal judgment call. I'm Church of God and have pierced ears, and wear other jewelry.

Yes. That's not sinful. Tatoos are ugly, though, I think... and oh-so-original, but unless they contain a sinful message or are obtained with the intent to shock or disgust, they are not a sin.

the meaning to being Christian is t believe in Christ and hold him as you're savior. As a believer in God i don't exactly agree with the Bible. Everything in the bible is manipulated to make the human feel less than what he/she really it is. I believe that a tattoo or piercing or what you have on your body should interfere with your faith or beliefs. After all, we leave this body when we die and we return to perfection.

It's not Biblically defined as a sin, so it's ok. However, it was the sign of slavery in Biblical times, so I can understand if Christians feel uncomfortable with them.

No. Their body is a temple that belongs to God. God gave you a clean body, and you will return a clean body. Cleanliness is next to Godliness. What I don't get is, that if you have trouble stealing, you should chop off your hand, it is better to enter Heaven without a hand than to enter Hell with a full body.

I would say no. Your cutting your flesh for both earings and tatoos.

Leviticus 19:28 "You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the Lord. " (NKJ)

The Bible specifically says no to tattoos but mentions jewelry and never really says anything against it.
