I just wanted to say I've been loggin into this place for a while now. And of the whole darn internet places to be I enjoy this place because it's the only place I know that people from every where can just be themselves and speak their mind wether being goofy,mean or serious, it's just a fun place to hang out. It is a kind of odd concept, isn't it.... and yet, as you say, for person who is looking for some entertainment or a change to try to challenge himself by trying to think up answers to the more difficult questions, its not quite the waste of time I originally thought it was...

i feel much the same way
some of the humour is hilarious
some of the personal problems are requiring me to delve into my own life and i realise how fortunate i am and how much i have to offer others
intelligent questions too that encourage me to work at it mentally until there is a viable answer
but yes all in all a really fun place to hang out

Ya, it can be fun, but on the opposite side it can be hurtfull too. I TRY To ignore the ignorance, but it is tough sometimes. Still...it seems the only place I can be me.
