that would depend greatly on the situation
but at least she has YOU to sit with her while she is in emotional anguish which will help her no end

Make her feel safe and tell her Daddy will be back(if that is true) then I would try to distract her with toys,food,or anything to get her busy,usually children get over this quickly,unless they have a boo boo then they may start crying again for Mom or Dad.

It depends. If he was coming back I would say "Don't worry, you'll see him soon." And then try and distract her with something else like coloring. If he was not coming back I would just try my best to comfort her and be there for her.

depends...is the dad coming back? has the dad just left pissed off about some fight you just had? does the kid see/ not see her daddy all that often? depends on what the situation is

Be empathetic and let her know that you understand she's upset. If she doesn't need to talk or if it doesn't help, then distract her with something else.
