Im not trying to upset anyone or rock the boat, but things like this dont make sense to me....
In Mumbai, a guy opens a restaurant and calls it "Hitler's Cross". He isnt promoting Hitler or antisemitism, he just used an infamous guy's name to stir up business. The Jews in his community (which was described as a small percentage) damn near roited to force him to change his name. A quote from the Jewish Antidefamation League: "The incident exposes the lack of understanding of the present generation about the atrocities of the past and the need to educate them about crimes against humanity," federation chairman Jonathan Solomon said. So, this is a reason to silence the man? Its actually a crime in Germany and other Euro nations to mention Hitler or the Holocaust. WHY???
The Jewish Holy Book is chock full of atrocities of the past and crimes against humanity....should we silence it too????

I think the really unfortunate part of that is that the swastika was a religious symbol in India (as well as many other places) for thousands of years before Hitler was ever born.

Using a guys name to stir up business is a way of promoting that guy. And if we want to silence the Jewish Holy Book, we might as well silence the rest of the Holy Books...

And, you would not get the same reaction if you called a restaurant ''Jesus Christ's pizza barn'' or The Prophet Mohammad's .....''? I would never go to the last one I mentioned-as it is a horrible way to defame someone's religion and sensitivities. Now, for kicks, I might go to the pizza barn. Aren't I awful?

Really, one should never do anything like this.

Because George Bush and Tony Blair think they are Children of God when they were the ones who caused two thieves named Jesus to be crucified in Jerusalem to bring the Curse of the Crucified Thieves on the Middle East, and Georgie cant see that the land is accursed along with the Jews and thinks he can overturn the decision of the God of Israel to keep them wandering.

The reason is because, most Jews grandparent's lived through that time, and they don't won't to remember it, even if they didn't live in Europe. It is a bit extreme though, if they can't mention it in Europe. Here's a quote: "Those who cannot learn from the past, are doomed to repeat it." How will they learn from it if they can't even mention it?

Are you condoning the use of Hitler's name to bring business? I am an atheist, but I would have rioted too. Jews are just as brainwashed as all other religious peoples, but they do not need to be reminded of the recent deaths of millions of their family members. You, and the restaurant owner, are horrible.

calling a new restaurant "Hitler's Cross" was insensitive at the least or an intentionally provocative action. either way it is unacceptable to use the tragedy of the Holocaust to profit or inspire hate.

Emotions are a good evidence of history. Opressors would seek to deny the existence of these emotions, or claim that emotions resulting from abuse are evidence of a corrupt soul.
