Hey, so tomorrow i'm giving a talk at an LDS baptism on the subject of baptism. I was only given a days' notice, and i'm struggling to write it! Does anyone have any helpful ideas, or any scriptural quotes? If it's LDS that would be helpful, but if not Bible quotes are still very useful!

It's appreciated A LOT!

Emma

Look up the 4rth article of faith about the first principles and ordinances of the gospel. When I was a missionary we almost always had someone give a talk at a baptism around this. Think about what each of those steps of faith, repentance, baptism, and the gift of the Holy Ghost means to you.

Be sure to share your testimony.

best wishes!

When Alma stood at the Waters of Mormon he gave the definitive baptism talk. Look it up in Mosiah 18:8-10. He sums it all up for us.
