I think that you have a heart for injustice because you worship a God of justice
other christians may have a heart for other spheres of interests and so are better suited for other things (like working with children, addicts, the elderly etc) which require a different type of strengths and weaknesses than you have. BUT put it all together and you get the body of christ.
it could be that you are getting a sense of your own calling - to hunger and thirst for righteousness - and to bring that into your relationships with other christians tos top them from becoming overly complacent.
Keep going as you are - just remember to 'speak the truth with love' (rather than not speak out at all)

Christians are the cause of a lot of injustice with their condeming attitudes and their intolerance of people who don't believe what they do. Also, what exactly qualifies you to tell people what they are doing wrong? I think feeling good is a good thing, but I rarely see a Chistian with a smile on their face...you may find you life a lot easier if you "live and let live"

Yes, I recently had a message from a Christian here, telling me off because I mentioned judgement and hell in one of my answers! I was told that it was an off put and that people only need to know about the love of God, and that I had disgusted the person concerned.
I would rather offend some, (not that it is my intention), and wake others up to the reality of hell than not mention it. After all, if someone is in danger, we warn them - don't we?
The old saying, its not what we say, but the way we say it holds true I believe. Let our words be seasoned with salt.
There is a way

Mars Hill in Grandville, Michigan just did a great sermon series on the God of the Oppressed dealing with this very issue. You can download mp3 files of the series at www.mhbcmi.org in the "listen" area. August 6th and 13th are fantastic sermons. The others are good too, but these deal with what you're talking about. Mars Hill is an amazing place - very inspiring.

Jesus said there will always be poor. You can't do anything about it.
I agree with you to a degree, this "i have a get out of jail card" so I feel good thing has limitations.
Does God REWARD people?
Getting to heaven is a reward?
No real work involved, you just Praise God and beleive in Jesus and you get there!?
That's how simple it is?
Jesus laid down a set of docrtines and orders
Go out with nothing in your pockets.
How many of those "feel gooders" do that!
Some feel good Christian girls gets grabbed and gang raped is she going to NOT go to the police, NOT bring charges, FORGIVE and FORGET
Jesus said that's what she's supposed to do to be a good Christian.
Love your enemy the most
Love your neighbor
You're neighbor is a nasty muslim who hates jews, you have to love him
Your neighbor is a crack dealer, you have to love him
Your neighbor is a homosexual, you have to love him.
Like is another story, but LOVE is required.
It's not easy to live a Christian life as Jesus commanded!
YOu like the do gooder girls top, and ask for it, she going to take it off and give you her bra as well!
She going to walk around in her bra!
Jesus made some tough rules to follow!

I think that it is a Christians obligation to help others and stand up for there principles, but we must use discernment not every fight is our fight, and we must remember that the injustice in this sick world is foretold in the bible and our fight is not against flesh and blood but in principality's, we must take our fight and go to war in prayer, and this could be why at times you see Christians and it seems as if they do nothing but who knows what wars are being fought in the spirit.and we as gods people have to realize some things are just gonna be.if the bible says it.... then it is so.

Your doing the right thing as Christians we are suppose to not only be followers of Christ but we must also spread the word...and sometimes the only chance we have of doing that is through our actions. By protesting (not violently) what we believe is wrong, by speaking up for what we believe IN. Follow your heart and what you believe God has laied on your heart...you can't go wrong when you follow Him. Good Luck & God Bless

If its a fellow Christian, your responsibility is to restore him by rebuking him (telling him hes wrong and needs to change).
If its an unbeliever then.......
Do not rebuke a mocker or he will hate you; rebuke a wise man and he will love you. -Proverbs 9:8
Your principle is correct though. I see too many Christians kicking back and not even acknowledging what the world does is wrong. Yes to them it is a way to feel good or enhance their life. but Jesus didnt come here to make the life you have better, he came here to give you a completely different life.
Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. -Matthew 10:39
That phrase was repeated in all 4 Gospels. Jesus must have said that to his disciples everyday!

OK, you're right about the "feel good" aspect of modern evangelism. It only results in false converts. The Bible says it is the law of the Lord that is perfect in converting the soul, so people DO need to understand the law of God, but...
The way you say you "tell people to their face when" you "feel that they are doing wrong" gives me pause. When you awaken someone, do it gently. Don't shine a spotlight in their eyes or yell into a megaphone in their ear. Did they ask what you thought? Did you approach them in a non-threatening manner? Do you tell them how precious their soul is to God?
If you hate "feel-good" evangelism, you'll really dig

I dont' think turning away from injustice is exclusive to Christians, but is a trait of human nature. We as humans don't like to be or feel uncomfortable, and will go to great lenghts to distance ourselves from what we don't like.
It is important to stand up for what is right, even though it might not be popular and you might get a lot of greif for doing so.
