i feed my dogs the same all year,
i never heard about more iin the winter,,
i am not saying this is untrue.
ask your vet, or read up on the breed your dog is,

just love your dog alot, and no junk food, no people food,
unless it is rice, veggies, etc,

enjoy your dog

My dogs are outside in the day- inside when we are at home - they do have a large run and out building with a kennel so do have dry room that has a cosy bed too but both dogs get a much thicker coat in the winter. I don't change their food but I do line the kennels and put in thicker bedding. Make sure if you have a kennel outside it's turned away from exposure and your dog has a dry and warm place to go and plenty of room to exercise. We also put in activity toys such as biscuit balls and kongs/ chews to keep them busy.

Does your dog really need to stay outside in the winter? Is there no way you could keep it inside?
If you use a crate and walk the dog regularly there'll be no need for it to stay outside. The crate will prevent chewing and messes around the house and your dog will be better off health-wise than staying outside to brave the british weather conditions.
I would never leave my dog outside whatever the weather.
It's all a matter of opinion but if I were you, I'd bring it inside.

I feed the same things to my dogs through the summer and the winter. As long as your dog has some outside shelter with plenty of blankets, it will be fine. We cut a large dog flap in the door of our shed and cornered off an area for them to sleep in and they stay out all night. If you dog sleeps in, and the only time it goes outside if for exercise, it will keep itself warm by running around, just as you would rub your hands together to keep them warm.

I would check with your vet about changing their diet. Unlike humans, dogs prefer a predictable diet and if you change it, it could upset their tummy.

as long as they arent out there all the time and just to potty, you can give them the dog food or w/e else you feed them. I have a pug and he sometimes goes out in the winter fo 15 minutes at the most and he is fine.

I feed my outside dogs a mix of dry food and a can of wet food mixed in the evenings. this provides the fat they need to protet them from the cold in the winters. Also make sure they are getting enough to eat as it takes more energy to keep them warm in the wimter and provide them with good water-proof shelter, and a place to get in from the cold when the temps get extremely cold!
And a good source of fresh water daily!

A dog will enjoy a bit of warmth and comfort as we do, so let him inside, a dog likes to be with its owner. So no need to change its food.

Well you should probably feed them what u normally do, animals usually fluctuate weight naturally. Their body will naturally grow winter thicker hair, and they will start to store fat naturally
