A really tiny dog is can be much more difficult to care for than a just normal sized small breed dog. They have a lot of health problems and on top of that are a huge risk if they ever need a medical procedure that requires them to be under anesthesia. They can break bones just by falling off the couch.

Reputible breeds don't sell dogs so small that they aren't healthy. Seriously, if you want a tiny little dog, get a gerbil. They're small and furry and they're supposed to be that size rather than being freaks of genetics.

"Teacup" is a misleading term used by irrsponsible breeders to sell their puppies faster. No reputable breeder is going to be breeding just for size. "Teacup" puppies are usually unhealthy and sickly. You only get that size by breading runts of litters which is very dangerous to the mother. Find a breeder who actually cares about the breed and is breeding it to standard, not for the latest fad.

Teacup is a wrong term, buy a small breed of dog instead

gwlittle.com Read some of their articles about teacups, educate yourself, and then ask yourself if you have the time to care for such a tiny angel.
