I really want to get a dog after not having one for a long time, but I don't want to pay a lot of money. http://www.1-800-save-a-pet.com/cgi-bin/public/petsearch.cgi/search_dogs_form is a great place if you are searching shelters and such. But then there are people who are also giving their dogs away or selling them. But a lot of them on line want way to much. Is there a site that has mutts? I mean, I don't care if I have a mutt, it just has to be small. Thanks.

petfinder.com

They really help you with selection and really narrow down your choice. You can choose from age, breed, size, gender, location

i think you are great and i love you for your attitude,
where do you live.
if you are anywhere near Long Beach California
pls talk to me,

I have a German Sheperd, and about four months ago my next door neighbor moved away, and abandoon 2 dogs. one disappeared, the other one is a chihuahua mix i guess she is adorable ,,here name is Cha cha

the problem i have is she is very demanding, she wants so much love, sit in lap go everywhere i do etc, but she is really got her own mind,
i was told that Chihuahuas dont mix with other dog breeds very well
and Cha Cha is always beating up my German Sheperd , who could rip off her head in a minute, but she won't
The sheperd (Shadow) ACTS motherly toward here, and lets her take her food, her bones
and when ever Shadow comes to me for affection, then Cha cha gets in the middle and bites shadows ears n
Shadow wont hurt her or fight back,
anyway, long story,
I need to find a home for Cha Cha where she is the lady of the house, and does not share attention..

RE YOU,
you can go to so many web sites for certain breeds .
for example, you could go to the rescue for any breed,
boxers , labs poodles etc, and they have rescue, and give aways, and want ads. and more, so you do have a lot to choose from

I DO HOPE YOU GET A DOG SOON, AND I HOPE A LUCKY DOG GETS TO HAVE YOU..

Dogs deserve so much love as they are true angels with four legs and a tail,,
good luck.

PS CHA CHA IS SMALL

They always have pets for you to adopt and they are exstreamly easy to use! Also check out your local rescue they have good prices alot of the time... Also your local paper should have a pet section in it and you can usually find pets for really cheep! Good luck on your new puppy or dog! Remember a dog is a mans best friend!

why don't you just go to your local humane society? i've gotten my last two dogs there & have had great luck! depending on where you live it's only about $60 which usually covers the cost of the first vet bill & spaying or neutering. going to the humane society you get to save an animal from potentially being put to sleep because of lack of good homes to take them in. plus if you go in person you can see if you think the dog's personality & yours will match well! good luck! :)

petfinder.com will also list shelter dogs. There will be a fee involved, but it goes toward (usually does not even cover all the money put into the dog) shots, spay/neuter heartworm test, etc...

AND

THANK YOU for being someone willing to give a dog a home, and not go to a pet store!!!
