I love this woman. She was a member of the Holland government, but because she has taken as stand against Islamist abuse of woman, Muslims threaten to murder her constantly.
Hirsi Ali grew up in an Islamic country. She rejected Islam and Islamic abuse of woman, moved west, got educated and became a fanatastic success, eventually winning a place in the Holland government.
The Holland people loved her and she was a celebraty. She decided to take a stand against the slavery and abuse of woman. When she did that, the death threats cam pouring in and have never stopped.
Shes been on 60 minutes now several times. She resigned her position in the government sometime after the Islamic cartoon insanity because it became to difficult to protect her and the government itself was threatend but Islamic interests outside the country.
She now lives in DC and works for a think tank.

well actually she didn't resign from the government she was fired. They are even contemplating taking away her citizenship (I am not sure whether or not they did yet). and the reason why she was fired is because she lied on her applications for citizenship about her status previous to her arrival in Holland. She also purposely used the whole anti-Islam propaganda to get herself into the parliament. She just wanted to get attention. Her family even claimed that she didn't have anything to fear from in order to get an asylum since she didn't even live in Somalia, she was in Kenya....check this source out
