Yeah, I have a 2000 dell and I don't open any files or downloads and all I do is surf the browser and all of a sudden all these pop ups are appearing, so they got to go. It's slowing down my computer bad and my internet connection.
Thanx

I've tried Yahoo and Google toolbars but they don't fully work.

People have suggested Firefox but even FF let's in a few pop ups though it works pretty well.

Internet Explorere 7 beta has a built in blocker that actually works. I haven't had a pop up come up.

I'd recommend downloading IE7 from Microsoft or Firefox.

use mozilla fire-fox (in case that you haven't heard, IE has been hacked into millions of times). another thing that is helpful is take off programs that you know that youre not going to use, or just preinstalled software that is there and it isn't being used. every once in a while, use an air duster *****caution, when you open make sure that you turn off the computer from the SWITCH ON THE BACK OF THE COMPUTER, GROUND YOURSELF BY TOUCHING THE POWER SUPPLY UNIT, WHILE USING THE AIR CAN. DUST OFF ALL THE DUST AS POSSIBLE. put the cover back on, and turn on the computer. also defrgment your computer, and use disk clean up every once in a while.
