It all depends in exactly what you're asking or saying -you're not really being clear enough as to whether you want to ask or say if the person is from Florida. But...below are the answers along with the exact meaning () to either.
If you are asking the person if he/she is from Florida:
-(Tu) Eres de la Florida?
(Means: "You're from Florida?" or also "Are you from Florida?")
-Tú eres de la Florida?!
(like you're surprised, but the same meaning as above).
-De donde (tu) eres, de la Florida?
(Means: Where are you from? Florida?)
-De donde (tu) eres? Eres de la Florida?
(Means: Where are you from? Are you from Florida?)
If you are saying or stating he/she is from Florida:
-Tú eres de la Florida.
(Means: You are from Florida)
-Eres de la Florida.
(Means exactly the same as above only less of a direct statement)
I placed "tú" in parenthesis because as you can tell, the use of it is not necessary or mandatory. Sometimes its use is for emphasizing or stressing. It really depends. Either way is grammatically correct but I would recommend you to use it for your project in case your professor wants you to be more specific.
Spanish is my first language.
Hope it helps. Good luck!

In my Spanish class in the winter, my professor told us that Florida is preceeded by "la." From this, ¿Eres de la Florida? would be correct.

lots of people who immigrated to Florida are from Cuba and areas of South u . s . a .. in actuality, they are the main important minority in this united states of america. most of the persons who immigrated here nonetheless save their language and learn English. They communicate English whilst they might desire to, yet communicate Spanish around their friends and family members.
