For those of you who are going to say yes, listen to this. Sharks have been around for about 400 million years, how could sharks have adapted to eat humans if we didn't exist that long ago? Further more, they are sea creatures and we are land creatures, how could sea creatures evolve to eat land creatures? And finally when ever we fish, swim, surf, etc. we're invading their territory, it's their turf, not ours.

The concept of evil is a human construct...nature doesn't care about good and evil. The majority of shark attacks on humans are a case of mistaken identity...it takes one bite and realizes that the prey wasn't what the shark thought it was (like a seal) then it lets go and swims away. Some species, like bull sharks, are very agressive and will attack almost anything, including humans. Still, you're more likely to win the lottery than get attacked by a shark.
Nay, what freaks me out in the ocean are jellyfish...they hurt and even kill far more people than sharks do.

The increased number of attacks of the floridian, hawiian, and australian coasts has some researchers wondering the same thing. In one instance, a surfer suffered 6 bite wounds--he claimed that a single shark had attacked him repeatedly six times! reseachers investigating the case found that in general, sharks hunt in packs, much like wolves. so, six different sharks had bitten him.
In most cases ,sharks just nip people because human blood is not as fatty as seal blood, which they love. However, weaker sharks could definitely become man-eating monsters. and once they do, man is in big trouble. Why? because sharks possess a lateral line enabling them to sense the heart-beats and metabolism of humans--the more nervous you are, the more the shark becomes interested in you and they begin circling.
but don't worry, almost all are harmless, passive and won't attack unless genuinely confused with mistaking surfer for some other animal

If a shark walked down my street I would not be inclined to run up to it and bite it to see if it was food. However if I am surfing and a shark took a chunk out of my leg to see if I was food it has now become a blood thirsty Scott-eater and I think its evil. I guess my answer is no until it becomes a scott-eater then it become's yes!

they are blood thirsty, but that doesn't make them evil, it's just the way they identify food. they are not man-eaters. i once heard that the reason why sharks attack surfers is that the bottom of a surf board looks like a seal's belly to them, so if they do attack people it's essentially the result of a misunderstanding.

Evil? No, just hungry or territorial.
Bloodthirsty? Yes.
Man-eaters? Not in most cases.
