My lil cousin was messing around with my computer while microsoft word was up and now I it keeps saying "modification is not allowed because the document is locked" It wont let me type anything in at all and it want allow me to type on any old documents. Please help me I have to have these things due by tomorrow.

Yes I have restarted and no there isn't anything saying something about unlock

Your documents may have been set to read only. Open your windows explorer and navigate to your documents folder and right click on your file, and select properties from the menu. Make sure read only is unchecked.

if you happened to save them at all during the process of typing them before you left the computer, i would say just restart it because if it is locked there is no other way.

did u try to restart the computer? if that doesnt work, then at the bottom of that message there should be like options.... unlock, something like that
